I started styling this party by creating a focal wall and made the DIY Bowling Ball Party Backdrop using paper plates. I love how simple and easy this is to create and the playful statement it makes behind the snack bar! See the tutorial to make the simple Bowling Ball Backdrop here.
Balloon garlands are all the rage and I love incorporating them into my party set-up for several reasons. One, they are an inexpensive way to add a big "WOW" factor to any celebration, and two, they are very easy to make. I decided rather than an arched garland above the table I would make a column reminiscent of a white bowling pin.
I used the White Balloon Garland Kit to create the white column of balloons then used red latex balloons and added two rows of red "stripes" to my garland to mimic the red stripes on a bowling pin.
I used the large white balloon from the garland kit, a 9" white latex balloon, and two red balloons from the Bulk Animal Modeling 60" Latex Balloon kit to create a giant bowling pin balloon sculpture. This was such a fun detail and could even be used for photo booth props and decorations too!
I created our snack bar by displaying our favorite snacks and bowling ball inspired treats on the supplies from the Treat Table Decorating Kit. These kits are great for birthday parties, graduations, wedding receptions, and any other festivities where treats are served. They're easy to customize and coordinate with a variety of party themes.
I displayed cupcakes and Oreo® bowling balls on the cupcake stand and filled the large treat buckets with popcorn and snack mixes.
White and red Sixlets layered in a candy jar create a bowling pin inspired sweet treat. Large black gumballs make fun bowling ball inspired treats and party favors!
Create a fun table setting for each guest using layered Black and White Stripe Paper Dinner Plates, red plates, and Black Paper Dessert Plates made to look like bowling balls. Use Red Washi Tape and White Cutlery Set to create bowing pin utensils.
Now it's time to hit up the bowling lanes and let the good times roll! Let the kids bowl and be sure to make it extra fun by challenging them to bowl backwards, or bowling with their non dominant hand. Hand out Bowling Trophies each time someone successfully completes the challenge.
Send guests home with party favors like their own Mini Bowling Games, Bowling Pin Stress Toys and Large Favor Tubes filled with Black Gumballs. Don't forget to download the free printable "Thanks for Making my Party IncrediBOWL" tags.
This bowling themed birthday party is great for all ages and is sure to provide hours of entertainment and fun! So strike up some fun, and let the good times roll!
