Teachers love an organized classroom and students thrive in a learning environment where everything has its correct place. A current trend in schools are teachers are giving up their traditional teacher desks so that they have more space in the classroom for flexible seating. I gave up my teacher desk five years ago and have never looked back. When I tell coworkers that I got rid of my teacher desk, their first question is always, "Where do you put all the teacher things you need?" My answer: A Teacher Tool Box! I found two drawer sets to make my teacher tool boxes: The ArtBin Store-In-Drawer Cabinet, which has larger drawers, and the Store-In-Drawer Cabinet Translucent that has smaller drawers, and is pictured below. I wanted two different cabinets so that I could have one in the front of the classroom and one in the back.
Making these teacher tool boxes was super easy! Of course they needed cute labels and I had to make them llama themed in order to match my Llama Classroom Decor. To make the labels super durable and longer-lasting, I printed them out on 8 1/2" x 11" White Cardstock. I prefer using cardstock when I print things for my classroom because the paper is thicker. Using 8 1/2" x 11" White Cardstock makes every center activity, task card or bulletin board letter that I print, or cut out, last so much longer.

You really could put anything you need in these drawers. Having everything labeled makes my teacher life so much more organized, not to mention easy for students and substitute teachers too.
There's nothing worse than running out of an Expo® Marker in middle of a lesson and having to scramble to find one. These Teacher Toolboxes eliminate time wasted on looking for a misplaced items and truly are a game changer.
Rather than shoving things like Apple-Shaped Sticky Notes in my desk- they now have a home. With two of these teacher tool boxes in my room, I was able to put one near my small group table so that I can have items like Apple-Shaped Sticky Notes , Unicorn Erasers and Emoji Stampers near me when I need them for intervention groups or during center time.
If you are looking at creating your own teacher tool box, I created some labels to get you started. They were made specifically for the ArtBin Store-In-Drawer Cabinet. Let's get organized! You can grab these free labels here or get the editable set on my Teachers Pay Teachers Store.
