The time has come for your little darling to turn one and what better way to celebrate than with her very own tea party! This lovely vintage-inspired "partea" is filled with a mix of whimsical girlish details and a hint of modern glam to bring this classic party theme to life!
We wanted our tea party to have both vintage and modern touches, so incorporating the Truly Scrumptious Tea Party line was the perfect way to achieve this.
The place settings were kept simple and chic by layering a Truly Scrumptious Tea Cup and Saucer atop a Round White Paper Dinner Plate. We just adore the mix of mint blue, pink and fuchsia in the vintage floral pattern on the Tea Cup and Saucer.
Each Tea Cup was filled with Shimmer Pink Gum balls and an adorable Tea Party Character Lollipop. They served as an extra special treat for our little guests.
Gold Glitter Forks were placed on Light Pink Luncheon Napkins; while Clear Milk Bottles, filled with pink lemonade, were adorned with a Glittering Gold Tea Pots and finished off with a Pink Chevron Straw.
We love using Contact Paper as a simple and mess-free way to add in a few special thematic details. When the party is over, you simply remove the sticker and the bottle is back to being a blank canvas ready for your next party!
For the table's centerpiece, we painted a DIY Ceramic Tea Pot gold and filled it with small pink hydrangea blooms from a Pink Hydrangea Mat and added in a gold, glitter number one.
The Tea Pot was surrounded by our delicious Lemon Flower Tarts.
These cute-as-can-be pie crust tarts are filled with scrumptious lemon curd and only take minutes to make!
One of our favorite details of the party was our DIY Floating Tea Cups. We simply bent a metal fork and Hot Glued the top end to the inside of a Truly Scrumptious Tea Cup and the bottom end to a painted tea cup saucer from a DIY Ceramic Tea Cup Planter and then covered the fork and saucer with Pink Hydrangea Blooms. Our little guests were amazed that we "magically" made the tea cup float!
We rounded out the table decor with a few Peony-filled Light Pink Vintage Candle Holders.
We always enjoy a fun play on words, so creating this DIY Let's Partea Backdrop was another one of our favorite party features.
We used our Cricut Cutting Machine to make the word "Let's" out of Gold Glitter Contact Paper and then Marquee Letters spelling out P-A-R-T-E-A were filled with a mix of Pink Hydrangea Blooms and a Cream Rose Buds and then hung using Command Hooks.
We painted a few Large Paper Flower Decorations in pink and gold to complete the look. You can find our step-by-step backdrop tutorial here!
Our table of sweets was outfitted in a Light Pink Plastic Table Skirt and showcased a variety of cookies.
A 2-Tiered Silver Server was painted gold and held yummy lemon drop cookies; while two candelabras were turned into serving ware by Hot Gluing Truly Scrumptious Tea Cup Saucers to the outer candle holders and a golden, flower-filled Ceramic Tea Pot was Glued to the center.
Each was placed on a Truly Scrumptious Scalloped Napkin, which brought a hint of vintage to the table.
