Conversation hearts are the quintessential Valentine’s Day candy! When we set out to plan the most adorable Sweet Shop Valentines Day Party, we knew conversation hearts and a plethora of other sugary treats were the perfect inspiration for this kid-friendly celebration! You can create this darling Valentine’s Day Party at home with a few supplies, our DIY tutorials and some yummy recipes!
We wanted our Sweet Shop Valentine's Day Party to have a youthful and bright look, so we started out by layering 2 pink tablecloths with the Mint Green Plastic Tablecloth Roll, a heart runner and another mint runner for a colorful layered look. 
The focal point of the table was a simple, white cake covered in conversation hearts for a playful and adorably sweet centerpiece! It rested on a light pink pedestal style cake plate. We added a Valentine note topper for a cute addition! 
To add to the sweet shop theme, we flanked the cake with vintage style milkshake glasses filled with Pink Jelly Beans Candy and Pearl White Hard Candy Hearts for a yummy milkshake inspired look. A Pink Polka Dot Paper Straw and a Pink Swirl Lollipop completed the look. 
Beside each "milkshake" we created our own conversation hearts inspired by the dinner plates. Each DIY Heart Box was first painted pink and then adorned with a Valentine Conversation Self Adhesive Foam Heart Sticker on top. 
Each place setting was full of adorable pink and mint hearts. We layered Mint & Pink Valentine Dinner Plates with Candy Pink Round Dinner Plates and topped them with coordinating Mint & Pink Valentine Dessert Plates for a cute layered place setting. Another DIY Heart Box was painted mint green, and rested on top of each place setting. Each DIY Heart Box was filled with candy treats for guests to bring home. 
Coordinating Mint & Pink Valentine Beverage Napkins rested beside each place setting. We displayed Candy Pink Plastic Spoons, decorated with Mint Green Pearl Beads and Pink Pearl Beads, for snacking on the conversation heart cake. 
We dressed up the Clear Glass Milk Bottles by cutting a strip of paper from the Pastel Paper Pack to create a drink wrap and added another Valentine Conversation Self Adhesive Foam Heart Sticker to the front for a themed look. Each bottle was filled with our delicious recipe for Strawberry Conversation Heart Pink Cocoa, which the kids loved sipping on! You can find the recipe here. 
We wanted to create matching miniature DIY Valentine's Day Mailboxes for guests to exchange sweet Valentine notes to one another. We used extra Mint & Pink Valentine Beverage Napkins and a few simple supplies to create coordinating mailboxes for each guest's place setting. They were the perfect way for the kids to share a Valentine's Day message with one another! You can find the full tutorial here. 
What's a sweet shop without the candy!? We created an adorable sweet shop themed candy buffet by using loads of sugary sweets and some colorful party supplies. A simple sign was placed on the Pink and White Striped Plastic Tablecloth Roll and was adorned with Mint Green Tassel Garland and Mint Tissue Paper Balls, which served as our backdrop. 
We served up plenty of candy treats in adorable Chalkboard Candy Jars and even larger Glass Cylinder Jars. Candy treats included Unwrapped Buttermints - Green, Pink Jelly Beans Candy, Pearl White Hard Candy Hearts, Pink Rock Candy Lollipops and more. Adorable Mini Mint Green Treat Boxes were accentuated with Valentine Conversation Self Adhesive Foam Heart Sticker for guests to bring home any extra sweets!
