My girls have always thought it would be fun to have an outdoor sleepover by the pool, so this summer I decided to make their dreams come true with a summer sleepover.
I wanted our guests to know this wasn't going to be your standard sleepover, but a tropical experience that would be unforgettable, so I created custom Personalized Festival Admission Tickets for our Sunset Summer Sleepover. Each invitation was delivered in colorful goodie bags filled with candy, Luau Tropical Temporary Tattoos and Luau Leis to set the stage for this sleepover party.
I started transforming the backyard into a tropical oasis by covering the fence with the Island Luau Sunset Scene Setter. This banner provided the perfect backdrop for the Slumber Party Luau Tent Kits.
I decorated each tent with the colorful tissue paper flower garland and Tropical Toucan Garland. I also added colorful beach towels and tassel pillows to make each tent extra cozy. I taped several Bamboo Print Placemats together to create welcome mats for each tent.
I made the birthday girl's tent extra special by decorating it with a mini balloon garland.
The Tropical Tassel Serving Trays are perfect for serving poolside snacks and keeping everything contained.
Every good sleepover calls for lots of snacks, so I set up a colorful self-serve snack cart with popcorn, cupcakes and candy. Each guest had their own Colorful Pineapple Cup that they could fill up through the night with their favorite punch.
Add a punch of color with a balloon garland! Inspired by the colors of a sunset, I used yellow, orange, pink and purple balloons to make the perfect balloon arch that framed the pool and tents. I added Tropical Toucan Party Decorations and the giant Tropical Toucan Balloon to give it a colorful and playful feel.
I also hung tropical bird decorations from the balloon garland, and used them to create colorful decorations to hang at the entrance of the tropical sleepover tents.
Every sleepover needs a few activities and this Bean Bag Toss Game was a big hit with the girls.
Our guests had so much fun swimming, splashing and snacking. As the sun set they settled into their sleepover tents for a movie under the stars. This summer sleepover was an unforgettable evening filled with little details that turned our backyard into a tropical oasis.
