I love switching up our home decor just a little with each changing season, and our foyer area is one of my favorite places to do it. The small console table and wall above it is the perfect spot to create a festive welcome for our guests! For the summer, I swapped out our regular decor for this Hello Summer sign that I made along with some fun tropical elements like these wood flamingos, ceramic pineapples, and colorful sea shells! All you need is a small table and wall area in your home to create your own seasonal vignette.

To create this summery vignette, I incorporated some festive items along with a few handmade touches. I also always love to "shop my house" by swapping in accent pieces from other rooms to give them a new look! Here are a few of the elements I incorporated into my foyer:
Hello Summer Sign
This "Hello Summer" sign is the focal point of the vignette, and was simple to make with a wood hexagon sign, vinyl letters, and faux hibiscus flowers. You can find my step-by-step tutorial here!

Modern Sand Art
To balance the Hello Summer sign and create a gallery grouping on the wall, I incorporated this DIY Modern Sand Art. This is a fun summer project that kids will enjoy too!

Tropical Accents
I used a variety of colorful accents to decorate the small console table in our foyer such as a glass jar filled with colored sea shells and a pair of wood flamingos. I adorned the flamingos with a small flower and scattered some faux hibiscus flowers and faux white starfish along the table to add color and texture to the vignette. I always like to vary the height of my vignettes by having at least one tall arrangement like these faux palm leaves styled in this pretty ceramic vase with gold trim. I also like to place accents on stacks of books covered in pretty paper to vary their height.

DIY Decorated Pineapples
My favorite addition to our summer decorated foyer are these large ceramic pineapples that I decorated. I painted one of the pineapples with turquoise craft paint and used gold leaf sheets to decorate the top. For the other pineapple I used Mod Podge® to apply pineapple shapes from these pineapple beverage napkins and then painted the top with hot pink craft paint.

This colorful vignette is such a fun way to welcome guests to our home. Once fall is on the way, I plan to switch it up again and repurpose these items next summer!
