With the long days of summer come so many fun, family activities. One of our favorites in spending each Saturday morning at local farmers' market buying fresh vegetables, fruits and flowers. We're always taken aback by the natural beauty of the goods we bring home and are even more amazed at how delicious everything tastes. This is what inspired our most recent Berry Wedding! We took inspiration from the fresh berries and incorporated jewel tones, fresh greenery, natural wood elements and created a rustically chic tablescape that paid homage to one of our favorite times of the year!
The Table: We created a rustic, farmhouse table look by covering our standard table in the Fadeless Weathered Wood Paper Roll. We absolutely love the look it gave the table and plan on using it for countless projects in the future! We then layered five DIY Large Basswood Planks with Bark as a table runner. To break up the monochromatic tones of the Wood Paper Roll and the Basswood Planks, we created a floral and berry garland to add in pops of color and texture and added in a few Round Flameless Candle throughout the length of the table. The Place Settings: We always love a layered look for place settings and this Berry Wedding is no exception! We started with a burgundy charger, then added a White Elegant Dinner Plate and a White Elegant Dessert Plate with Rose Gold Edging. We topped the settings with these fabulous Chipwood Baskets. We added a walnut stain to the Chipwood Baskets and then personalized them with ivory vinyl. Each basket was filled with an assortment of fresh flowers and berries adding a fresh, romantic look to the table. The place settings were made complete with luxe Metallic Gold Cutlery and a Clear Patterned Wine Glass filled with a cranberry cocktail and topped with a bamboo skewer filled with berries. The Desserts: As berries serving as the inspiration for the events, we of course had to incorporate them into our desserts! A miniature chocolate fudge cake was topped with flowers and berries while our Lemon Cream Cheese Fruits Tarts were displayed below it on a White Ceramic Cake Pedestal. These were so easy to make and incredibly delicious! Make sure to check out our recipe here! We also filled some dessert shells with some more of the lemon and cream cheese filling and then drizzled pink chocolate over top and added a few fresh berries! These were placed on miniature, white cake plates which stood on stained DIY Unfinished Wood Crates. The Favors: We wanted to send our guests home with a sweet memento of this special day and thought a homemade Mixed Berry Jam would be the perfect thing! This mixture of blueberries, raspberries and blackberries is the perfect mixture of tart and sweet! And don't forget to check out our tutorial on how to make these adorable DIY Berry Jam Favor Jars! Who knew a Metallic Gold Foil Thank You Stickers and a few berries could make these Mini Mason Favor Jars look so fabulous?! The Decor: One of our favorite pieces of decor was our Berry Bar sign. We simply stained a DIY Slat Sign and added some ivory lettering. We love the rustic touch it added to the table. Another of our favorite aspects to this wedding was our DIY Berry Bridal Bouquet. We filled a Bouquet Holder with gorgeous fresh flowers and greenery and added in sprigs of fresh berries perched on Silver Tone Copper Wire. The best part of this bouquet is that all of the flowers and berries were bought at our local farmers' market; the source of our Berry Wedding inspiration! [cf]skyword_tracking_tag[/cf]
