To make these fun snacks, make rice cereal treats according to your favorite recipe – or just use pre-made rice cereal treats.  Mold the rice cereal treats into brush tip shapes.  Cut large pretzel rods in half.  Melt candy melts according to the package instructions.  Dip the pretzel rods into the candy melts and insert the dipped end into the molded rice cereal.  Wait for the candy to set.  Dip the entire rice cereal into the dark candy melts and place on waxed paper to set.  Once set, dip the end of the ‘brushes’ into different colored candy melts so that it looks like paint. Let the melted candy set and enjoy!

Begin by making sugar cookie dough, cut it into rectangles, and bake. Now let’s make the edible paint!  Place 10 marshmallows in a medium microwavable bowl, and microwave for 30 seconds. Stir in 2 tablespoons of water and microwave an additional 30 seconds. Stir until smooth. (If marshmallows aren’t melted, microwave in 15 second intervals until smooth, stirring in between.)  Stir in 2 tablespoons of corn syrup and 1 to 2 drops of desired food coloring. Use immediately. To make multiple colors out of 1 batch of “paint”, divide the marshmallow and corn syrup mixture into small bowls before adding different colors of food coloring.  Have the kids paint masterpieces onto the sugar cookies using the marshmallow paint.  Don't forget to download and print out the free printable food labels by clicking the button below.

Cut cheddar string cheese in half. Cut light-colored string cheese into a cone shape and use a toothpick to stick it onto one end of the cheddar cheese.  Cut a small piece of a beef stick and use a toothpick to attach it to the cheddar string cheese.  Optional: cut a small piece of a black olive and attach it to the end of the pencil –  the juice from the olive will help it stick!  Be sure to let students know that the toothpicks are inside.  Get your free printables food labels here

To make these fun treats, melt three tablespoons of butter over low heat and add one package of marshmallows. Stir until melted then remove from heat. Add Kellogg's® Rice Krispies® cereal. Using buttered spatula or wax paper, evenly press mixture into 13" x 9" x 2" pan coated with cooking spray. Cool. Cut into 2" x 3" rectangles. Press a jumbo craft stick into the bottom of each treat. Follow the manufacturer’s directions to melt the colored melting chocolate. Dip and drip the colored chocolate over the top of the treat. Set treats on waxed paper and allow to set.
