Guests were greeted with a bar cart cocktail station and a Dance Under the Stars sign to hint at the festivities ahead. Guests' names, like the newlywed's love, were written in the stars as part of our boho-inspired Starry Night Wedding Seating Chart. The phases of the moons stylishly guided them to their tables.
We draped a navy blue tablecloth under our sign for an added pop of color and love how it softened the space. Our bar cart was dressed up with lovely ivory peony bouquets tucked into both a white ceramic vase and a navy ombre hurricane vase. The latter was elevated on a white candle holder for added dimension. A silver tone taper candle set and a silver candle holder, both spray painted gold and filled with taper candles, coupled with the candles in navy mercury glass votives and twinkling lights tucked into glass boxes, all provided a romantic glow reminiscent of the starry night sky. Guests were invited to pour themselves a glass of bubbly in the awaiting gold stemmed champagne flutes with navy blue rock candy swizzle sticks.
Stellar Reception Decor
The reception space was infused with galactic details and shades of blue, gold and white, which were juxtaposed against the rich shades of the wooden tables and chairs.
A navy blue tablecloth was gathered and transformed into a runner, which lined the center of our tables and provided a bold pop of color.
Three navy ombre hurricane vases, filled with lush ivory peony bouquets and greenery, adorned the center of the tables. White taper candles stood tall in silvertone taper candle holders and silver candle holders, both spray painted gold, in between each of the three flower-filled vases.
Keeping the florals low and simple allowed for easy conversation with guests sitting across the table.
Reserved table cards from the constellation table numbers pack were nestled into the beautiful ivory peony bouquets at each end of the head table.
Candle-filled navy mercury glass votives added a pretty twinkling of light to the outer ends of the table.
One of our favorite details of the wedding was the DIY Phases of the Moon Table Numbers that sat in the center of each table.
Unfinished wood circle stand ups were transformed into moons with a bit of paint and gold foil, which added a little sparkle and glam. We love the touch of whimsy they brought to the table.

Stunning Galactic Tablescape and Place Settings
Our tablescape was dotted with details reminiscent of celestial bodies from the heavens.
Large wood circle signs, painted deep blue with gold splatter paint to mimic the starry night sky, were used as placemats and rested under beautifully detailed gold-trimmed white plates.
Navy and white modern linen napkins sat between the gold-trimmed lattice cut octagon dinner and dessert plates. Gold hammered cutlery rested on either side of the plates.
DIY wooden stars and eucalyptus stems sat in the middle of each plate to act as place cards. The stars were painted navy blue and received the same gold splatter paint technique as the placemats below them. We loved how the greenery helped to soften the look of our place settings.
Gold chocolate candies filled star shaped favor container and sat to the left of each place setting. The bottom half of the container was embellished with blue paint to help it stand out a bit more on the table. Each star favor was wrapped up with gold baker's twine and included a silver moon and star charm, which we spray painted navy blue to coordinate with the theme.
Over the Moon for Statement Decor Pieces
Created with full moon above the midnight sky in mind, our stunning Dreamy Floral Moon Wedding Backdrop stood tall behind the cake table. We started with a deep blue painted DIY photo booth backdrop then added a realistic full moon wall hanging embellished with beautiful peonies. You can find the steps to create your own Dreamy Floral Moon Wedding Backdrop here, which not only provided a lovely focal point in our reception area, but would be a gorgeous statement piece behind the alter as the bride and groom say I do!
We kept our cake table simple and only added a few accent pieces. A clear acrylic sign, which was painted blue then dressed up with gold splatter paint and the lovely "you are my sun, my moon and all my stars" quote that was cut from white vinyl, sat to the right of the wedding cake.
A navy mercury glass votive, coupled with a white ceramic vase filled with an ivory peony bouquet, sat alongside our DIY acrylic sign. You can download the quote to make your own sign here.
The dazzling blue and gold marbled galactic cake sat upon a beautiful gold cake stand and was topped with a crescent moon that was cut from gold glitter paper.
A stack of shimmering dance under the stars beverage napkins were kept on the cake table as well and seamlessly blended in with our decor.
