Graduation season is here and with that comes graduation parties! Whether you are celebrating your cute kindergarten graduate or your brilliant high school graduate, this star-studded graduation party has lots of ideas to help you honor your special graduate and all of their accomplishments.
When it comes to party planning I love the idea of using a theme to pull everything together. For this party I was inspired to use stars because I felt like there were so many different ways you could interpret and use this theme. Some ideas include: "Reach for the Stars", "You're a Star" and "All-Star" to name just a few. This star-studded graduation party theme and dessert table is a great way to show your graduate just how proud you really are!
To create this shiny dessert display I started by covering a table with a black table cloth and layering it with a white table runner. I then sprinkled gold star shaped confetti all over the table.
Next, I created a dazzling focal point behind the dessert table with black and white tassel garlands, a gold glitter star garland and gold metallic stars. I hung black graduation cap hanging paper lanterns from the tassel garland to give a nod to the special graduate and all their hard work. I loved these fun little lanterns and even used them as table decorations throughout the party space.
I added balloon bouquets to each side of the table for an added layer of fun. The gold star-shaped mylar balloons were the perfect addition to our star themed party. You could also place a bunch of these outside of your party space to create a dramatic entrance.
I have been obsessed with my letter board kit and have had so much fun creating new messages for each of our celebrations. I used the quote "Reach for the Stars, Pursue Your Dreams, Follow Your Heart" on my letter board because I thought it was the perfect sentiment for a recent graduate. The great thing about these letter board kits is that when you are finished using it for your party you can display it somewhere in your home with another quote.
Display lots of color coordinating treats on your dessert table for guests to enjoy. Remember that you don't need to add everything to the table at once. You can replenish and refill as things get low. This helps keep your table from getting too cluttered and overwhelming, plus it will make sure things stay fresh.
When it comes to parties, I like having simple snacks, like popcorn, that guests can help themselves too. It's even better when they can scoop them into fun black and gold graduation popcorn boxes.
I also like to include small party favors that guests can take home as they leave. I think it's a fun way to remind them of how much fun they had while celebrating with you. I usually can't resist making something cute like these DIY Graduation Cap Candy Favors. Small star shaped favor containers filled with gold chocolate candies also make great little gifts too.
From kindergarten to college graduations are always a milestone worth celebrating. This star themed party will remind your guests that the night is all about the star student, their amazing accomplishments, and their future that lies ahead!
