Frightful Place Settings

3

Set a stunning scene for your table with spooky-chic place settings. The spider web weaving of Silver Metallic String Placemats gives a subtle nod to Halloween, making the placemats the perfect foundation for each setting.

Burgundy Plastic Dinner Plates lend a rich color contrast to the silver placemats and look classy when paired with Premium Black & White Striped Plastic Dessert Plates. Clippings of Black Creepy Cloth and a skull from Bag of Skulls Halloween Decorations add just the right dose of eerie ambiance to the table.

Silver Premium Ornate Plastic Cutlery and Black Patterned Plastic Wine Glasses not only complete each place setting, but we love the way that flickering candlelight reflects off of them and adds to the spooky vibe in the space!

DIY Spooky Chic Centerpiece

6

The show-stopping centerpiece is really what makes this tablescape magnificent, and while it may look incredibly detailed, it’s actually very easy to put together.

Begin by draping a Burgundy Gauze Table Runner down the center of your table. If your table is a light color, consider covering it with a Black Rectangle Polyester Tablecloth prior to laying out the gauze runner to keep the feel of the space dark and moody.

7

Candlelight is the main ingredient for creating a spooky scene, so we used a lot of it in this centerpiece!

Place a Silver Three Arm Candelabra on the runner at the center of your table. Arrange single Silver Candle Holders along the sides of the three arm candelabra, then fill with black taper candles. If you have a problem with the taper candles standing up straight in the holders, simply light the candles, invert them, then let a bit of the wax drip down into the cups of the holders. Blow out the candles, place them in the holders and hold for a minute or two to allow the wax to bond. This will secure your candles in place safely and will ensure that they stay straight.

8

Next, add some fresh florals between the silver candle holders for visual interest, then surround with more flickering candlelight by arranging Black Mercury Glass Votive Candle Holders filled with White Tea Light Candles all around the existing elements on the runner.

9

Use Black Craft Pumpkins to fill in any vacant space on your runner. They are the perfect height to arrange at the base of the three arm candleabra.

10

Lastly, clip leaves and stem segments from Burgundy Eucalyptus Stems and Neutral Maple Leaf Garland and place them throughout the centerpiece display. You want the end result to look full, natural and organic. If desired, you can also cut a few small branches from shrubs outside and add them to the centerpiece for added texture.

Eerie Elements

11

To really give the room an ominous aura, hang Black Creepy Cloth in your space. For our dinner party, we removed our curtains and draped the creepy cloth over our curtain rods.  When the HVAC kicks on, the air from the vents gently blows the cloth, giving a chilling feel to the space!

12

We love this Decorative Witch Broom and couldn’t resist adding it to our decor. We attached it to a chair back with some twine, which gave an extra pop of visual interest for the guests as they arrived.

13

To make sure no detail was overlooked, we secured a Black Feathered Crow onto the chandelier above our dining table. A clipping of Ivy Garland gave the chandelier a haunted, overgrown appearance.

Haunting Snack Display

15

16

If you plan to serve appetizers or desserts at your dinner party, be sure to carry the decor over to the serving area to ensure a cohesive look for your gathering.

Ivy Garland, Burgundy Eucalyptus Stems, Black Creepy Cloth and Black Mercury Glass Votive Holders from the main dining area can all be carried over to that space.

17

Apothecary Glass Jars are fantastic for housing munchies and look great with the theme! We served raspberry macarons that coordinated with the table decor, as well as a dark, delectable trail mix.

18

We had an old bird cage that we thought would be fun to display a Feathered Crow in, so we tucked one inside and placed it at our snack station. If you don’t have a bird cage, you could use this White Bird Cage Card Holder and spray paint it dark gray or black.

19

Above the snacks, we placed another skull from the Bag of Skulls Halloween Decorations. He kept an eerie eye over the snacks…and our guests at our Spooky Chic Haunted Halloween Dinner Party.
