Halloween is one of my favorite holidays of the year. We recently kicked off the season with a fun Spooktacular Boo Bash for the kids. I love little ghosts, especially the Boo Party Supplies. My little guy is six years old, and although he’s intrigued by the spookier themes he is still young enough to enjoy a cutesy party. I’m excited to share all the fun details from our Spooktacular Boo Bash! Be sure to download the free Ghost Treat Bag Printable to make your own favor bags!
The Decorations As I mentioned, I LOVE Halloween, so naturally I have quite the stash of Halloween props; including these spooky glitter trees. They are by far my most used Halloween prop and I never get tired of them! I decided that instead of a backdrop, I'd create a simple ghost garland. Start making your own by downloading the Free Ghost Shape Printable. Trace the ghost shapes onto Bright Foam Sheets. To embellish your ghost shapes, cover the front of each ghost with Mod Podge then sprinkle the shapes with Glitter. Use a small hole punch to put a hole at the top of each ghost shape then string several ghosts onto Baker's Twine.
I wanted to incorporate polka dots and stripes to create a festive table. So, I lined the table with two black and white striped table runners, hung a Black Tassel Garland and added a bunch of polka dot and striped paper lanterns. I love how the orange and purple pop!
I also made two Faux Pumpkins to match the cute little ghost decorations. See the tutorial for Ghost Pumpkins HERE.
Spooky Sweet Treats You can't have a Halloween party without candy and treats! I added a few Large Purple Gumballs to a mini cake along with a super easy cake topper made with Black Polka Dot Paper Straws and Halloween Washi Tape. I whipped up a batch of Ghost Brownies. See how to make these delicious cuties HERE.
Kids enjoyed a little Boo Juice in these adorable Molded Ghost Cups with Lids & Straws. I added a little washi tape for
fun.
Setting the Table Setting up a kiddie table is a cinch with the cute Boo tableware! I started by adding a ghost table runner. To make this runner yourself simply download the Free Ghost Shape Printable. Trace the shapes onto pieces of Bright Foam then cut them out. Cover the top of your ghost shapes with Mod Podge then decorate them with Glitter! Hot Glue the ghosts' hands together and you have a simple yet creative table runner!
For a simple centerpiece, I filled the Glass Jar Set with Black Buttermints, Orange Rock Candy Pops and Large Purple Gumballs.
For the place settings, I layered the Boo Dessert Plates on top of white plates and black chargers.
I added a bit of washi tape to the forks and paper straws. Aren't these Ghost Disposable Cups adorable? Boo Bash Party Games and Activities Every great party needs games and activities! We had fun with the Halloween Stick Photo Booth Props. We also played Boo Pong, Boo Toss and Boo Bowling. See all of our fun Boo Bash Party Games HERE.
