I love Halloween, it’s such a fun time of year, with all sorts of décor from spooky and creepy to whimsical and fun. This year we are CREEPING it real with a creepy, crawly spider-infested porch makeover that will spook and scare our friends, neighbors, and trick-or-treaters.
Crawling with spiders; small, large and everything in between it’s sure to leave your costumed guests with a scare they won’t forget!
Beware those with arachnophobia (fear of spiders), this porch has been known to catch a guest or two in its tricky, sticky web!
As trick-or-treaters approach our spider-infested house, they will first be greeted by a eerily large spiderweb. This stretches out far enough that they have to walk under it to get to the front door, wondering what awaits them.
At the top of this giant web hanging over our porch, I placed a Deluxe Light Up Wolf Spider. The green, flickering eyes will make even the bravest trick-or-treater shudder!
Beware his large spider friends hanging at either side of him, a Hairy Poseable Spider and an Animated Black Spider.
Under this spooky trio, I covered our porch columns with Natural Creepy Cloth and lots and lots of Stretchable Spiderwebs.
On the left side I placed Skeleton Spider Cocoon, an unlucky victim caught in our spider’s web. I also placed smaller spiders over the body and web for some extra spook!
Under this web wrapped body, I placed a Skeleton Crew Lantern for up lighting.
On the right side of the porch, another victim, a single Light-Up Larva Head, is nestled in the creepy cloth and spider web.
On this side I added an Animated Large Spider. This spider is perfect for scares as it lights up when guests walk past it to the door, singing spooky nursery-type rhymes!!
Under him I used a Giant Spider Skeleton, no meat & bones but equally as terrifying!
As guests walk into our porch everywhere they look they are faced with more and more deep, thick spiders web. I hung Super-Size Black Creepy Cloth everywhere first and then layered the spider web over top to give it a dark and creepy spider nest feel. Even if they look up, they are surrounded. I hung a Tattered Ceiling Halloween Decoration with Dangling Spiders from the ceiling too!
On top of the web, I added more spiders of different sizes. All part of this extensive spider family.
Near the door and over our porch light I used a Hanging Shaking Spider that moves and wiggles at guests as they move past it to ring the doorbell. Watch out for your fingers!
Then I added Black Metal Lanterns to the threshold, also covered in thick spider web and a swarm of spiders.
If our brave trick-or-treaters make it to our door, they are faced with the thickest of webs to ring the bell. I used several packets of Stretchable Spiderwebs to create this look and then placed the Hanging Shaking Spider in the middle and used Scary Spiders as its spider babies crawling around it.
Next I used a Rotating Spider LED Light in front of the door to make it look like ALL of these spiders were crawling around.
When Trick-or-Treaters arrive, we like to give out both candy and a non-candy treat. This year we have a bowl of Stretchable Spiders to give out as the non-candy treat.
Won’t you join us for Halloween said the Spider to the Fly!
