3, 2, 1, blast off! Step into space with this adorable Space Birthday Party. The bright colors paired with planets and stars will have your kids feeling out of this world. Here's a party full of simple DIY ideas to make planning an astronaut adventure a cinch!
This party was a blast because of all the little details. Check out how we put this party together.
Of course, it all starts with a fun Invitation. Check out the Free Printable Space Birthday Party Invitations we created. The best part about these invitations is that they are gender neutral so they work for all astronauts.
We love the idea of attaching a fun little gift to party invitations, like this Plush Astronaut. Attaching a gift to an invitation can build excitement for the upcoming party. Once the invitations have gone out, you can start gathering your party supplies to decorate. This is where we had the most fun. For birthday parties we love creating a large backdrop that doubles as a game. For this party, we decided that a Pin the Flame on the Rocket was the perfect party game. See what kind of skills those astronauts have when they're blindfolded and sent out to fix the rocket.
Since we used this game as our main backdrop, we of course had to dress it up. We used the Out of This World Garland, Out of This World Hanging Paper Fans, Star, Cloud, & Moon Mylar Balloons, Rocket Hanging Decor, and Rocket Mini Banner Set to make our backdrop come to life.
Our party table was decorated just as cute all decked out in outer space fun.
I mean, just check out this large Inflatable Rocket! It just made the party.
To set our table we started with a plain black tablecloth and layered the Black and white Striped Table Runner down the center of the table.
Add the adorable Out of This World Dinner Plates, with Black Metallic Polka Dot Napkins, and Out of This World Paper Cups to finish the place settings.
Each guest also received one of these adorable Space Party Favor Boxes filled with goodies from the party. These looked so cute on the table!
Each child was also able to snag one of these candy "Meteorites" that we dressed up with a Free Printable Tag. We added these tags to Blue and Navy Rock Candy Lollipops for a fun twist. These fit nicely into the Space Party Favor Boxes.
We dressed up cupcakes by adding Outer Space Lollipops in the center of each cupcake. These were a hit at the party!
Every astronaut needs to stay hydrated, so we wrapped these Free Printable "Rocket Fuel" water bottle tags to each bottle.
We attached these free printable "Thank you for coming" tags to some Medium galvanized pails for a cute take home gift for each child. The pails were filled with Space Putty, Space Rocket Flyers, Plush Astronauts, Rocket Pop-Ups, Space Rocks Candy, and Plush Rockets.
We had so much fun bringing this party together. Our birthday astronaut felt like the star of the show and all the guests had a blast. No pun intended.
