During the winter, I always teach about snow! Where I live, we don’t get snow, so the students soak up every lesson because it is so interesting to them! I love making snow globes with my class. I decided to change it up and not just color the picture that comes with the snow globe, but instead we drew our own picture and wrote about it!
The great thing about these snow globes is that you can take out the paper that comes with it and you can put whatever you want inside...a picture, drawing, writing, any form of paper will do! We traced the snowman paper that was already in the snow globe.
Then we cut out the insert and drew a winter picture on it!
I asked the students to draw a winter picture, and then I asked them to either write a winter memory that goes with their picture, or they could write an acrostic poem! These would make great gifts for the parents, keep them to display at open house, or just send them home!
