If you’re anything like us, there are only so many snowy days you can spend indoors before you start to get stir-crazy. Instead of spending another play date cooped up inside, I wanted to plan a fun party to get our family outside with some friends and celebrate the super snowy winter we’ve had. Here’s a look at my Snow Day Brunch.
Since the party was planned for a Saturday, we started off with a brunch. Between the three families, we had a combined seven children, all under the age of 8. I wanted the food to be fun and simple. Be sure to check out my recipe for Snowman Pancakes, and instructions for how to throw together these adorable Snowman Donuts.
When breakfast was complete, we had a fun craft activity. I used these cute Snowflake Glitter Centerpieces and white pom poms to create and easy and snowball inspired centerpiece.
The Snowman Craft was so fun and easy! The kids loved it!
The craft came together quickly, and the cleanup was so simple-- thanks to these brilliant disposable tablecloths. Then it was time to hit the sledding hill! These Inflatable Snowman Sleds were a huge hit! Not only adorable and easy to inflate, but the kids loved them! And the adults too.
After spending hours on the sledding hill, we warmed up with some hot cocoa in these Winter Mugs, perfect for kids. Because they were plastic, they didn't break and we didn't feel bad about throwing them away afterward.
I hope we can recreate this party again and again this winter. There's nothing that says childhood in winter more than sledding with your friends on a snowy Saturday morning. With a little bit of planning, you can make a memorable gathering for family and friends, perfect for a snowy Saturday morning. And I think the adults had every bit as much fun as the kids!
