We love unicorns, kitty cats and llamas just as much as the next person but now it's time for the cutest, cuddliest, sweetest, slow-moving creatures to take its place in the party trend spotlight; the sloth! Our sloth party features vibrant, rain forest inspired colors, adorable sweet treats and a free printable package that has everything you need to make your sloth party come to life!
We used a palette of blues, pinks, greens and yellow along with hints of brown to really make this party pop! We started each place setting with a plate printable on top of a light blue plastic plate and then finished with a clear plastic dinner plate. Grab the FREE printable plate decal here!
Lemon yellow plastic forks sat atop hot pink luncheon napkins that were adorned with a small bunch of leaves clipped from the bamboo garland.
Blue jungle juice was served in glass milk bottles. We used a 2" circle punch to cut out printable cupcake toppers and then backed them on magenta paper to create quick and easy drink decorations! And how cute and punny is that tag?! We just can't get enough of it!
We hand-cut these itty bitty printable sloth straw toppers and used glue dots to adhere them to lime chevron paper straws. You can tell they are ready to party! Get the printable tag and straw toppers here for free!
Each place setting was also decorated with our DIY Sloth Habitat Favors. A round storage container was filled with green moss and pieces of frosted greenery stem. We then cut and adhered a sloth straw topper to a piece of a bamboo paper straw and hung it from the lid of the storage container.
Each favor was topped with a printable sticker favor tag! You can find are full DIY tutorial here!
We created DIY Sloth Decor that served as our centerpieces for the table. We painted a medium-sized embroidery hoop and then attached a bamboo paper straw and hung some adorable sloths from the sloth Christmas ornament kit.
We added in a few bamboo clippings and some colorful hibiscus hair clips to complete this cute piece of decor! You can find our full tutorial here!
We made two smaller versions of our centerpiece using small embroidery hoops, which looked great next to our framed "let's hang out" printable signs. We also used artificial tropical leaves to create a runner down the center of our table which really made the rest of our table decor pop.
Our favorite item from the sloth printable package has to be this incredible party backdrop! It was the perfect way to set the scene for our table of sweets. Download the entire party backdrop here!
We also adhered some pieces from the printable banner across the front of our table to add in some more sloth-inspired cuteness!
Katie's Creative Baking whipped up these adorable sloth cookies which laid on a bed of shimmer pink gumballs on top of a white serving tray.
We made these chocolate covered sloth pretzels using melted white and brown chocolate! They took some time, but were well worth the wait in the end! The pretzels were served in candy-filled palm leaf serving dishes and were devoured instantly! You can find the recipe here!
Lastly, we added some cute cupcake toppers to store-bought miniature cupcakes which rounded out our colorful sweets! You can download the cupcake toppers here for free to use at your own party!
