She got scooped up so why not host a bridal shower for the ice cream loving bride to be? This shower is sprinkled with sugary sweet pastel colors in shades of mint green, light pink, lavender and pale blue. Whimsical floral ice cream cone decor and boozy ice cream floats add a grown-up twist to a classic childhood ice cream social.
These Pastel Party Printables could be a great touch to your fun pastel colored party!
Dreamy Pastel Ice Cream Decor
Soft pastel colors instantly transformed our space into a dreamy ice cream parlor. We created a backdrop for the shower by painting four foam boards in mint green, light pink, lavender and pale blue, then attached them to the wall using double sided foam tape. A DIY Ice Cream Floral Wall Art, which hung in the middle of the four painted panels, was created using smaller foam boards and light pink flowers. You can find the tutorial to create your own floral ice cream art here.
Our wall art was topped with a color blocked balloon garland using pearl pink, pearl light blue, lavender and pastel party balloons to bring a bit more color to the wall.
Our dining table received the pastel ice cream treatment as well and looked dreamy despite requiring little effort.
Pastel Sprinkle Covered Tablescape
We lined our dining table with a runner of sweet pastel Sprinkle fettiâ sprinkles to add a splash of color to our white metallic tablecloth.
Our DIY Ice Cream Cone Centerpieces were raised on the table thanks to light blue painted cupcake stands. Lavender, light pink and iridescent candle votives were interspersed with our centerpieces down the length of the table. Copper taper candleholders, spray painted silver to better coordinate with our theme, were added to the table as well for visual height.
The DIY Ice Cream Cone Centerpiece were created by painting clear snack cones to mimic waffle cones, and then adding light pink flowers as the ice cream "scoop". The cones stood in the stemless wine glasses with help from Baker's Party Shop sweet pastel Sprinklefettiâ.
Pastel Perfection Place Settings
Varying pastel dinner plates in our theme's colors of light pink, lavender, mint green and pale blue were layered at each place setting. Pastel hexagon dessert plates sat atop the dinner plates. To further detail each place setting, we painted the underside of square plastic dinner plates in our theme's colors to rest under our dinner plates.
Iridescent luncheon napkins were placed to the left of our plates along with premium silver metallic cutlery.
Whimsical Sprinkles Place Cards, created using ice cream cone Easter eggs and clear square favor containers, sat in the center of each place setting and acted as a sweet treat for guests to take home after the shower ended.
Rosé wine was served in clear crystal wine glasses alongside our delicious.
The ice cream floats, topped with sweet pastel Sprinklefettiâ„¢ sprinkles, looked pretty as a picture in simple square tumblers with iridescent paper straws. You can find the recipe for the Boozy Strawberry Cake Ice Cream Floats here.
Pretty Pastel Sweets and Treats
Silver painted candlesticks, along with lavender, iridescent and pink vintage votives were added to our dessert table to carry over some of the decor from our dining table.
We placed a custom wedding acrylic sign with the quote "She Got Scooped Up" on the left side of our table to coordinate with our theme. Layers of pastel paint was added to the back to further tie in with our theme. A DIY floral ice cream cone, placed in a sprinkle filled stemless wine glass, further decorated our dessert table.
Simple store-bought cupcakes were topped with pastel painted love cupcake picks.
The cupcakes looked lovely served in a clear plastic tray filled with Baker's Party Shop Sweet Pastel Sprinklefettiâ sprinkles.
We placed a gorgeous painted buttercream cake from Missy P. Sweets atop a clear footed cake stand on the right side of our dessert table.
Pastel meringues, tucked inside a glass bowl resting on sprinkles sat next to the show stopping cake.
As the shower festivities come to a close, add the lids to the DIY Sprinkles Place Cards for guests to take home and enjoy later!
