Little girls will enjoy this beautiful shabby chic dessert table that's perfect to celebrate a baptism or first communion. With a beautiful color scheme and antique touches, this dessert table will be one she won't forget!
There are a few special days in a little girl's life when it comes to religion. First communions, baptisms, blessings, or whatever it may be, we want these days to be special for the guest of honor. These should be days where family can gather together to celebrate her and shower her with love. This shabby chic baptism or first communion dessert table is the perfect way to do just that.
First we choose a color palate of pale blush, light pink, with some turquoise thrown in for a fun pop. We pulled these colors from the Vintage Collection which made coordinating all the colors so much easier.
I started by hanging the backdrop. For this backdrop we used the Vintage Collection Hanging Fans, Turquoise Tissue Balls, and Blush Tissue Hanging Fans. I absolutely love how all the colors work together in this backdrop!
I also used the Vintage Collection Dinner Napkins and some lace, to make this shabby chic napkin banner. It was the perfect rustic yet romantic touch and color the table needed. Plus, it was so easy to make!
We used light pink dessert plates, Vintage Collection Luncheon Napkins, and Silver Metallic Cutlery. I was nervous that the pink wouldn't match the rest of the party, but it was perfect.
The guest of honor wanted to have her favorite flavor of macarons, strawberry and vanilla, as well as mini cupcakes. I served these on beautiful white rectangular serving trays that are versatile enough to go with just about any party theme.
I loved having the Vintage Collection Cupcake Boxes available for guests to take treats with them. This also made clean-up easier after our little get-together!
The cake might be my favorite part of this dessert table. Isn't it beautiful? I love how it turned out. It sat our cake on white ceramic cake stand with slightly antiqued edges.
The cake stand and the white trays went together perfectly too.
It was a memorable day for our little girl and I'm so happy we were able to celebrate with this beautiful dessert table.
