It’s the most wonderful time of the year, when the man with the bag is ready to appear. Get your home ready for Santa Claus with a festive Santa Claus Is Coming Christmas Mantel! A large Santa Claus is the focus of this cheery setup that’s focused on all things Santa. From the Santa Express Train to the presents in his giant bag to the Santa-themed Christmas tree, these Christmas decorations are sure to delight this holiday season!
Deck those halls with all things Santa by creating a darling Christmas mantel. I’ll show you easy it is to decorate your mantel for this festive season!
Santa Claus Christmas Mantel
To set the theme for my mantel decorations, I used some black vinyl and my Cricut machine to add the words “Santa Claus Is Coming To Town” to two pieces of foam board. These signs looked great and were very easy and inexpensive to make.
I added a darling Santa Express Train with a fun retro feel to the base of the signs. This train can actually move along it’s tracks, and it even creates steam and makes a whistle noise when it moves!
Lovely little trees with bits of decorative snow on top looked so good at the front and back end of the train. It looked like the train was moving through a scenic forest!
Behind the train are some pretty snowy pine picks that add some color. I also sprinkled some frosty pinecones in on top of the pine, as well as around the Christmas train.
Hanging from the mantel were two stockings, just waiting to be filled with treats from Santa early Christmas morning.
Speaking of Santa, it was so much fun to have the big man himself make an appearance all season! It’s also a good reminder to the kids that Santa always knows if they’re naughty or nice. ;)
This tall Santa Claus has lots of really cool details that made him look fabulous. I love his blue eyes and gold glasses, his soft fluffy beard, and his red velvet suit, complete with a black belt and gold buckle.
Christmas Hearth Decorations
To make our fireplace look completely decorated, I added some fun additions to the hearth.
At the base of Santa’s feet were some Kraft-paper wrapped packages, an adorable plaid gift bag, and a cute modern Kraft gift bag that said “merry and bright” on each side.
I just love the darling retro-style Santa sign and the pretty lanterns with white candles inside.
Of course we had to include Santa’s giant sack filled with wrapped packages for all the good girls and boys! It was such a nice addition to our Christmas mantel decorations.
An arrow-filled directional sign helps visitors to know which way to the North Pole, Santa’s Workshop, Candy Cane Lane, and the Sleigh Rides.
Santa Themed Christmas Tree
Near our fireplace sat our beautiful Santa themed Christmas tree!
Our Christmas tree featured pretty pinecones, hand-carved wood Santa heads, vintage style Santa ornaments with German glitter, Santa hat ornaments, small felt stockings, glitter ornaments in red, gold, and silver, and real candy canes hanging from the branches.
Of course there were presents! I tied in the plaid gift bags and modern Kraft gift bags to those on the mantel to give it a cohesive look.
I also added an adorable personalized wood sign addressed to Santa Claus in the North Pole from our family in San Diego! It looked so cute tucked into the presents under the tree.
Did you notice the train tracks going around the base of the tree? The train can be added to the tracks at any time and turned on for some Christmas fun!
I hope you enjoyed our Santa Christmas mantel as much as I did.
It’s such a fun way to decorate for Christmas, especially if you have kids like I do!
