Creating a stunning Wedding Cake Table or Wedding Dessert Table is easier, and more affordable than you think. I rented this gorgeous buffet from Ruby's Vintage Rentals. Most cities have furniture rental companies, so find one in your area! For even more savings, I used flowers and eucalyptus from online wholesale flower companies (FiftyFlowers and GlobalRose are awesome). Creating your own floral arrangements not only saves you a lot of money, but it allows you to put your personality into your wedding flowers! The Balloon Garland created a gorgeous backdrop, and was easy and affordable to make. Be sure to download the Free Printable Dessert Labels here!
Ordering and preparing your own floral arrangements for your Wedding Cake Table can save you a lot of money. Head to the Rustic Outdoor Wedding Ceremony post to read more about ordering and preparing wholesale flowers.
To create this floral drawer on the buffet, I used a large wooden rectangular box. I placed a wet floral foam inside. Then I started cutting flowers and sticking them in. I just kept going until it was completely full. I stuck the box inside of the drawer, and then filled the remaining space with silver dollar eucalyptus. I love to mix cupcakes in with the cakes on a wedding dessert table. This is an affordable way to make sure you have enough dessert for everyone to eat and to provide a variety of treats for your guests! These Laser Cut Wrappers give the cupcakes an elegant feel.
This "naked" cake perfectly fits my rustic wedding theme. It's a no frills wedding cake option bursting with simple elegance (and yummy flavor). To dress it up just a bit, I added florals and greenery to the cake and around the stand. Use Wood Centerpiece Circles under your cake stands to create a rustic feel. These customizable Tent Cards label the dessert items displayed on your dessert table.
Be sure to download the Free Printable Card Labels here! Fill in the names of your desserts in the template. Then simply print and cut your cards! Creating a donut tower for the groom's cake is a fabulous and affordable idea. Who doesn't love donuts?!?! I have noticed that the donuts go way quicker than the cake. So be sure to have extra boxes saved on the side to continue adding throughout the reception. Add a few flowers and small eucalyptus sprigs to the donut tower for a pop of color.
Lift up your Personalized Champagne Flute and say cheers to the Mr. & Mrs.
