What is it about Thanksgiving that evokes such warm and cozy feelings? Maybe it's the thought of families and friends coming together. Maybe it's the mouthwatering aromas of comfort food drifting from the kitchen. Or maybe it's the gratitude and joy that is brought about when everyone is gathered around the dinner table. A gorgeous and inviting table adds immeasurable charm to the place where cherished memories are made each holiday season. I hope you can use these rustic Thanksgiving table decor ideas to create a setting where your friends and family feel welcome.
Incorporating the rich, warm colors of autumn into your tablescape is a beautiful way to create an inviting Thanksgiving table for everyone to gather round. Branches of real of faux fall foliage create a simple, yet stunning centerpiece and add instant charm to the room.
To add height variation to our table, we displayed our branch centerpiece on a Brown Wooden Crate. We arranged "Gather" and "Blessed" signs from the Thankful Thanksgiving Centerpiece collection around the crate, then surrounded the signs with glowing candles tucked inside Green Textured Votive Candle Holders for ambiance.
To balance out the centerpiece, we positioned Small Amber Glass Bud Vases (and some additional bases we had on hand ) on each side of the crate and filled them with modest florals.
Each place setting at our rustic Thanksgiving table was anchored by a DIY Woven Jute Placemat that I created. The weaving of the placemats added gorgeous, subtle texture to the table and complemented the decor perfectly. If DIY is not your thing, you could use Natural Woven Placemats instead.
If spending time with family and friends is important to you on Thanksgiving, don't be afraid to use disposable tableware to spare yourself from wasting time cleaning dishes in the kitchen. Mixing disposable pieces with quality pieces (in this case real wine glasses and fabric napkins) means that you don't have to sacrifice style for ease.
The fall foliage artwork on these Thankful Paper Dinner Plates was too pretty to be passed by and looked beautiful on the jute placemats, so they were an easy choice for our table. Premium Ornate Gold Cutlery and fabric napkins secured with Wooden Napkin Rings completed each place setting.
The flowing leaves of the Artificial Autumn Harvest Wreath are a lovely complement to the foliage on the paper plates and centerpiece sign, so naturally we wanted to incorporate the wreath into our decor. We displayed the wreath on the wall above a "thankful" card station.
Filling out "thankful" cards has become a tradition for many families on Thanksgiving. The cards are used to express what everyone is most thankful for. Incorporating this tradition into your gathering is as simple as laying out some thankful cards (or plain slips of paper) and a pen. We displayed our cards on a Wood Oval Centerpiece and added a small vase of flowers to beautify the display.
Farmhouse Fall Pumpkins and Copper Lanterns filled with glowing candles are a perfect, seasonal finishing touch to the card station and give the room a gorgeous, cohesive feel.
I hope these Thanksgiving ideas have inspired you to create something special for your friends and family this year. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
