Below you'll find my suggestions for products and DIY projects to make your wedding ceremony meaningful and gorgeous!
Everyone has a few items they like to splurge on for their wedding. For me it was the cross back chairs. I just couldn’t resist the rustic charm they brought to the wedding.
However, I was able to save a ton of money by create all of the floral arrangements using online wholesale flower shops (FiftyFlowers and GlobalRose are great)! It saved me a fortune! This task takes a little planning and some work. First, have a plan for the items you want to create and decide the types flowers and greenery you need to purchase. I suggest ordering more than you think you'll need, just in case! You also need to set aside the day before your wedding to get everything created and made. Have some friends and family come over and help you once the flowers arrive. You will need to trim and put them in water. We used storage tubs and five gallon buckets with water because we had so many! You want the flowers to arrive two days before your wedding so they have time to fully bloom. They need to be kept where it is cool or in an air conditioned room for as long as possible before the ceremony.
Using whiskey barrels at the front of your wedding aisle immediately greets your guests with your rustic theme. You can use the barrels to hold your guest book. I used one barrel for the DIY Wedding Guest Book Shadow Box and the other for the Date Night Jar Station. Provide custom wedding fans for your guest to cool off if it is warm outside. For extra rustic elegance, paint mason jars with white chalk paint and sand down lightly. I filled mine with flowers and placed them throughout the ceremony area.
I am obsessed with Silver Dollar Eucalyptus!! I used a TON of it throughout the wedding. In the DIY Rustic Pergola post, I show you how to create the eucalyptus garland, floral bouquet, and hanging flower terrariums. Such a beautiful setting for your vows!
To create easy aisle decorations, add a candle and some greenery to the inside of White Lanterns. Next create a small floral bouquet and use floral wire to attach on the lantern handle. Place these next to every other row of chairs.
On every other row of chairs, attach a small bundle of eucalyptus to the chair using floral wire. The combination of the white lanterns and eucalyptus bundles creates an easy and affordable Rustic Wedding Ceremony aisle.
Next you will want to head over to the Rustic Barn Wedding Reception post and see all of the stunning reception details like my DIY Wedding Centerpiece Ideas and Rustic Wedding Cake Table.
