I used a variety of items for my rustic farmhouse Christmas mantel. You can use a combination of items you already have, garage sale items, flea market finds, craft store purchases, products I've included here, and mix in your DIY handmade touch! I stuck with a neutral color palette. Adding in pops of red would look great too!
Place your garland on your mantel first. Then add a few DIY pine cones and your other Christmas decor items. DIY Pine Cones Spray your pine cones with a spray adhesive. Then quickly sprinkle craft snow and glitter over the tips. You can also paint the tips with a white craft paint.
Use boxes or pieces of wood to add some height to your items. I filled the white metal tree cutout lantern with pine cones. You could also use a candle.
I filled a metal bucket with birch logs and pine cones. You can create an easy DIY snow globe jar using a glass jar, craft snow, and a house tree ornament.
Mixing different stockings helps add texture to your rustic farmhouse Christmas mantel decor. These burlap stockings mix well with a variety of other stockings. I removed the ribbon that comes on them, and added a letter monogram. You could have names embroidered on the top; or add your own DIY touch to these classic stockings.
Below are some great close up images of the neutral Christmas tree decor.
