When planning a Retro Bridal shower, there’s no better way to style it than with a classically retro color palette of light blue, red gingham and branded Coca Cola accent pieces. Doesn’t it just scream 1950’s diner?! This bridal shower will have your bride ready to go from the soc hop straight down the aisle!
The Table: Our main table was set with a White Tablecloth, a piece of Light Blue Plastic Tablecloth Roll cut down to be used as a wide table runner and a thinner piece of Red Gingham Plastic Tablecloth Roll on top of that. Layering linens, tablecloth rolls and runners is a great way to bring in color and patterns to your tablescape! Each guests' place setting included a Red Gingham Dinner Plate, Light Blue Dessert Plate and a Diner Basket. Guests were served sliders and french fries served in Tiny Pedestal Clear Cups. This was such a fun and easy way to dress up our lunch!
And how cute are our DIY Milkshake Place Cards?! The Rockin '50s Plastic Shot Glasses were the perfect way to showcase this simple and thematic detail! Guests loved them so much they took them home as an added favor!
Table Decor: We made some larger versions of our milkshake place cards and set them a top of a Coca Cola Crate covered in red gingham fabric. This was also home to our retro diner menu and Premium Mini Salt and Pepper Shakers. They were simply adorable.
We flanked the centerpiece with two Wire Paint Caddies and filled them with Clear Vintage Soda Bottles that we decorated with strips of blue paper from the Green & Blue Super 50 Paper Pack , Red Gingham Plastic Tablecloth Roll and fresh Baby's Breath.
The Dessert Table: We served a bountiful array of retro inspired sweets on our dessert table including strawberry shortcake shooters housed in Tiny Pedestal Clear Cups, miniature apple pies with decorative heart skewer details and our Milkshake Cupcakes displayed on silver painted Footed Cake Stands.
These cupcakes were a cinch to make and we love that with the simple addition of a Red Gum ball and trimmed Turquoise Striped Paper Straw it could look like a milkshake!
All these delicious treats were displayed in front our retro inspired poster and Red Gingham Hanging Fans.
The Favor: Along with the Milkshake Place Cards, each guest took home our DIY Retro Favor Caddy!
A Red Gingham Tableware Caddy was filled with wooden kitchen utensils trimmed in Turquoise Acrylic Paint and white Cotton Rickrack Trim, a red whisk, a bottle of Coca Cola and a pair of Black Modern Cat Eye Smoked Glasses.
This Retro Bridal shower was such fun to style and we can't imagine a better way to celebrate the bride to be! Make sure to check out our DIY Milkshake Place Card, DIY Retro Favor Caddy and Milkshake Cupcake Recipe for even more inspiration!
