Rainbow Dessert Table

Rainbow Dessert Table

What's a party without a little color? This rainbow dessert table is the perfect way to brighten up your festivities and have your guests floating on cloud 9. With all the colors of the rainbow represented in the delicious desserts and decorations, this party is definitely one colorful soiree. Learn how to make a simple rainbow backdrop using paint chip circles and fill the floor with white balloons for a look that shines bright!

My favorite part of any party has to be the dessert table! All those pretty sweets just ready to be devoured. This rainbow party dessert table is no different, with its numerous cupcakes, cake, chocolates, and lollipops in every color of the rainbow. Yum! To set up your own rainbow dessert table, begin with the backdrop is key. This DIY giant rainbow backdrop is the perfect way to draw party guests in and get them in the mood for a colorful affair.

To play off the rainbow theme, a few clouds were needed. To replicate the look of fluffy clouds, first cover the table with a white table cloth and skirt. Then use a few giant sized white balloons blown up to various sizes to create the look of clouds along the floor next to the table. Just use a few pieces of tape made into a loop to secure the balloons to each other to keep them from floating around the room. You can also use a few pieces of ribbon to tie the balloons to the table legs to keep them in place.

Once your table is set, it's time to add in the colorful tableware such as rainbow plates, rainbow cups, rainbow napkins, and gold striped straws. I love the bold and colorful stripes on this entire collection, it's just perfect for a rainbow party. Don't forget the tiered food stands and cake pedestal to hold all your delicious food and treats!

Now that you have the basics, it's time to talk about my favorite part, the food! Turn store bought cupcakes and cake into something colorful and delicious by adding rainbow lollipops to cupcakes and serving on a bed of rainbow sixlets. I love when the serving tray becomes a second treat! And the cupcakes look so pretty ontop of all the rainbow candies. These cupcakes came with rainbow sprinkles, but if yours are plain, be sure to add a rainbow sprinkle mix to them for added color. Place extra cupcakes and lollipops on a tiered tray so that there are enough for every guest.

For the cake, all you need are a few pom pom picks to make it look colorful and party perfect, but if you already have them, try adding a few sprinkles to the top too. To round out all the treats, be sure to have a few drinks and cups. A rainbow platter of fruit is a great way to play on the rainbow theme but provide a less sugary dessert option.

It's such a simple and quick way to make the perfect rainbow party for only a few hours of prep and set up. Definitely worth it!
