Pumpkin spice and everything nice, that's what fall babies are made of. This "I Love You A Latte" pumpkin spice baby shower is the perfect way to celebrate a mama-to-be in the fall (it would also make a darling wedding shower theme!). Start with the simple "I Love You A Latte" DIY party backdrop and you'll be on your way to pumpkin spice party fun!
There is not much I love more than crisp fall air, pumpkins, and crunching leaves under my boots. In my eyes, fall has got. it. all. I'm one of those obnoxious people who likes to "pumpkin spice" ALL the things: my candles, my coffee, and even my parties! If you know a mama-to-be that is just as fall obsessed as me, this would be the perfect baby shower theme. This pumpkin spice baby shower is full of pumpkin treats, pumpkin spice lattes, and a whole lotta love for baby.
The Party Backdrop
For the backdrop, I customized unfinished wood pumpkin cutouts to say "I Love You A Latte." I also loved using the giant fall leaf cutouts to set the scene. Check out my separate DIY I Love You A Latte Backdrop tutorial for step-by-step instructions.
The Decorations
I fell in LOVE with these adorable pumpkin spice latte craft kits and had to include them in my party. The craft kits are adorable and come with all the separate foam pieces pre-cut and ready to stick together. I put four lattes together (simple adhesive-backed foam shapes) and tied them onto a white tissue tassel garland. The white tassels made me think of whipped cream atop a warm fall drink.
These latte crafts! I mean, TOO cute!
On the party table, I used a pumpkin spice orange tablecloth folded up as a runner. I added some fall sparkle with a glitter maple leaf garland and gold glitter pumpkin votive holders. I loved the way this garland sparkled and will definitely be adding it to my fall decorating collection for future years! It would be great for a mantel! To spruce up plain ceramic pumpkins, I spray painted the bottoms for a gold-dipped look. They turned out beautiful and after the party I repurposed them onto my fall mantel.
The Food & Drink
I wanted the food at this baby shower to have a coffee house bakery vibe. I served pumpkin spice muffins, pumpkin spice donuts (lined up on a long white platter), and a maple cake. All the treats paired perfectly with the star of the shower, the pumpkin spice lattes!
Pumpkin spice lattes were served in white paper coffee cups adorned with the cutest pumpkin spice latte adhesive felt shapes.
I found ready-to-drink pumpkin spice latte bottles at the grocery store that were made to be served either hot or cold. Simply pour the mix into an extra-large glass measuring cup and heat in microwave (or heat on the stove) and pour into the party cups. For an extra touch add a swirl of whipped cream to the top of each latte! Yum!
The maple cake was dressed up with pumpkin treat toppers to tie in with the rest of the party theme. Maybe it's just because I am a fall lover, but I really can't think of a better seasonal baby shower (or bridal shower) theme! For all the pumpkin spice lovers out there, this party is truly pumpkin spice and everything nice!
