We wanted to share some of our other favorite Fourth of July traditions for the kids: Let's start with treats! Each Fourth, we make patriotic fruit kabobs with blueberries and watermelon. The key here is using a cookie cutter to cut out a star shape in the watermelon. Just thread your blueberries on a bamboo skewer and top with the watermelon star! It's healthy and festive! Another favorite of the kiddos are rice krispie treats with red, white and blue sprinkles mixed in. Don't be afraid to serve them on Popsicle sticks! Our kids love yard games, and the Fourth of July brings out the family fun. Play tic tac toe in the yard with frisbees, throw some rings in a classic bottle toss game, and get everyone in an old fashioned potato sack race!
