The end of the year is a hard time for a teacher. I am not looking forward to seeing my babies go off to new schools. Even though I’m sad about them leaving I wanted to send my students out with a BANG! The theme of my Pre-K Graduation this year is based off “Oh the Places You’ll Go” by Dr. Seuss. I want to remind them that they will move mountains! I wanted to carry over the Dr. Seuss theme with the snack table I had set up. I decided to incorporate hot air balloons, globes, and clouds to mimic the scenery in “Oh the Places You’ll Go.” Take a look!
The focal point of my snack table was my globe sitting on the White Mini Suitcase Centerpiece. I have them stacked and open at different places. I wanted the cupcakes to look like they were just falling out of the suitcase.
I love how the centerpiece just screams pack up your suitcase and get on your way!
To go along with the “Oh the Places You’ll Go” theme, we just had to have hot air balloons. They were so simple to make and were easy to hang from the ceiling.
I used Beach Ball Hanging Paper Lanterns and Bright Hanging Paper Lanterns to make the balloon part of the hot air balloons, then I hot glued the Chenille Stem Class pack to Chip wood Baskets to make the baskets. Next, I took the pipe cleaners and poked holes in the lanterns to dangle from it. I also used skewers instead of the pipe cleaners, but that was a tad more difficult.
In keeping with the clouds and sky theme, I knew just the punch to make! In a drink dispenser, I put blue juice, lemon lime soda and then topped it off with some whipped topping! Ta-da! Instant clouds!
With so much hanging from the ceiling, I thought that the table itself needed to be simple. A white table cloth, with white plates, napkins, and cups, finished off the table décor. The Cloud Print Gossamer and Pleated Light Blue Table Skirt gave the table just the pop of blue it needed.
As much as I hate to see my Pre-K kiddos go, I know that this Pre-K Graduation will be a memory that their parents will cherish for years to come.
