Nothings says "I love the USA" like a fun, patriotic party! With Memorial Day, Flag Day, July 4th and Labor Day there are plenty of opportunities to show off your pride in America! The playful Patriotic Pop theme is perfect for barbecues and pool parties all summer long!
The 4th of July may be my favorite holiday, so it's no surprise I wanted to create a fun patriotic party to kick off summer! My love for all things red, white and blue paired with my favorite ice pops from when I was a kid make this playful party theme one of my all time favorites!
The Tablescape
Styling the table was a cinch with all of the coordinating items. I folded the Patriotic Pop Plastic Tablecloth Roll in half and used it as a table runner on top of my white table. It added the perfect "pop" of color.
I made fun DIY Personalized Cupcake Toppers that doubled as name cards for each table setting. You can get the easy tutorial HERE.
I used pie tins as chargers and layered the Patriotic Pop Paper Dinner Plates and Patriotic Pop Paper Dessert Plates on top. Nothing is more American than pie, right? I also folded a 4th of July Icon Bandanas under the plates to be used as napkins. I love it when I can use items for more than one purpose. I also set up umbrellas all around the yard to provide plenty of shade for our party table/sitting areas and hung a mix of Patriotic Pop Hanging Paper Lanterns and Patriotic Ombre Paper Hanging Lanterns. The ombre lanterns reminded me of the colors of Bomb Pops that I'd enjoy in the summers as a kid.
The Decorations
When it comes to patriotic parties, I love to go all out with party decorations! Even with outdoor parties, I like to set up a fun backdrop. So for this outdoor celebration, I created a DIY Popsicle Piñata to match the theme. Not only did it make a fun backdrop but it doubles as a fun game towards the end of your party. You can fill it with your favorite Patriotic Toys for the kids to enjoy before the firework show!
The playful Patriotic Pop Tissue Centerpieces make great tabletop decorations along with the fun Picnic Table Condiment Set.
One of my favorite decorations is the America the Beautiful Pillow Set. I set out a few Medium Blue Pillows on the chairs around the pool and tossed a few Inflatable Mini Patriotic Fireworks Beach Balls in the pool for decoration.
These will also look great on a themed porch or patio all summer long!
The Food
You can't have an all American party without food! I set up a little food station using the Patriotic Pop Plastic Tablecloth Roll as a backdrop. I hung the POP balloon banner I made with ribbon and Animal Modeling Latex Balloons.
We kept the menu simple with hot dogs, BBQ potato chips and potato salad. I love the little themed Hot Dog Holders that are just the right size for a hot dog or two!
Another party favorite are these Patriotic Snack Paper Bowls. They're sized perfectly for generous portions of your favorite picnic foods!
And no party is complete without dessert. I made sure to serve plenty of cupcakes topped with Patriotic Frozen Treat Lollipops and coordinating sprinkles.
Patriotic Accessories
We can't celebrate America without the proper Patriotic Accessories! The Patriotic Stovepipe Hat was a huge hit and is a great prop for photo booths!
I couldn't get enough of the cute, on-trend Jumbo Patriotic Enamel Pins. There's even a fun unicorn one to show off your pride!
