Pirate Treasure Hunt Play Date

Pirate Treasure Hunt Play Date

Ahoy, me hearties and welcome to our Pirate Treasure Hunt Play Date! Our boys love dressing up, especially like pirates, so we thought what better way to spend a warm summer day than sailing the seven seas searching for Davey’s Jones’ Locker and a treasure chest full of pirate booty! Our boys and their friends were sent on an adventurous treasure hunt with each clue leading to a fun pirate themed activity! Find out how we set up each scurvy station and what our little pirates found where X marks the spot!

Pirate Treasure Hunt Play Date The scalawags arrived and were instantly transported onto our treasure island as they entered the first pirate lair. We decorated or front porch with the Ragged Ship Door Curtain, a treasure chest full of Plastic Gold Coins, Plastic Telescopes, Pirate Coins, Skull & Crossbones Stampers and a few Tropical Sand Art Bottles filled with ancient pirate scrolls. Our DIY Skull & Crossbones Wreath hung below the Ragged Ship Door Curtain and set the tone for the treasure hunt. "Enter if ye dare!" You can find out how we made this creepy, skeletal decoration here!

We wrote our first clue on a Pirate Treasure Map and with that, the kids were on their way! "5 paces right and 10 steps down, the pirate craft table, ye have found!"

Pirate Treasue Hunt Play Date The swashbucklers found their first treasure hunt station where they started making their own DIY Mini Treasure Chests and Foam Pirate Sword. We covered the table in Kraft Paper and used a Black Chalk Marker to make it look like a treasure map. The Foam Pirate Sword Craft Kit came with red and gold glitter paint pens and rhinestone jewels which we put in Pirate Pails so they could be used for both crafts.
