Summer is in the air and on everyone's mind. I wanted to throw a "summer kick off" dinner party and knew it had to include two of my favorite things: pineapples and black & white stripes! I love the summery vibe these two elements, together with the palm leaves and the fun tissue balls, gave my table! I like the idea of adding in a couple shades of green in addition to the yellow, black, and white to give depth and interest to the whole tablescape.
I love the look of a layered table, so I started with a white table cloth and then added the Black & White Striped Table Runners. The tissue balls added a fun look down the center of the table, and putting the Pineapple Favor Boxes on a cake stand gave the height to the center of the table that I needed! I used the large palm leaves as placemats for my layered plate look.
These pineapple cups are what sold me on the idea for this theme. I think they are so darling, and the black and white straws with my DIY Summer Straw Decor is the perfect way for everyone to keep track of their drinks! 
Every table needs a bit of sparkle, so the sequin trim on my DIY Felt Pineapple Flatware Holders was perfect, and added such a cute touch! 
What's a dinner party without a little dessert? I love all things mini, so these Easy Mini Pineapple Upside Down Cakes were the perfect sweet ending.
