Peony Inspired Wedding

Peony Inspired Wedding

Peonies are one of the most popular wedding flowers there are. The soft colors, delicate petals and sweet scent have been popular for brides to be because of their timeless look and elegant style. This wedding is completely inspired by the timeless feel and contemporary touches that peonies bring to any event. With a color palette of pinks, whites and gold and plenty of fresh and faux florals and greenery, this romantic and dainty wedding is certain to bring a stylish and romantic touch to your wedding!

The Table:

The table was set in a bright white linen and was topped by a white and gold trimmed table runner for a pop of modern elegance.

A color palette of pinks, white and gold made our table really pop.

The Place Settings:

Each place setting consisted of a charger plate topped with a coordinating pink and gold dinner and dessert plate.

We mixed and matched our charger plates for a variety of pink and gold which created an eye catching tablescape.

We added a fresh soft pink peony to each setting.

To the right of each place setting sat a light pink napkin topped with gold cutlery.

The Centerpiece:

Seeing as this wedding was completely inspired by peonies, we knew that our centerpiece should be cascading with plenty of white and light pink blooms.

Peony Wedding Ideas

This DIY Peony Wedding Centerpiece was a simple craft to assemble and included a painted flower box full of florals.

A calligraphy table number sat in the center of the box to direct guests to the tables.

The soft pink peonies that sat within our painted flower box centerpiece coordinated perfectly with those that rested on each place setting.

A peony themed sign sat in font of the painted flower box to pull in more pink details and to tie in the theme even more.

It also incorporated a diamond cut stemmed pedestal dish billowing with even more peonies.

A calligraphy "love" detail was added to each pedestal dish for a romantic detail.

Bouquets of white peonies then sat at each end of the centerpiece.

The Backdrop and Buffet:

This DIY Backdrop and Buffet creates the perfect atmosphere and setting for guests to enjoy the day and take some pictures in front of the floral wall!

Peony Wedding Ideas

Our backdrop consisted of a wall of decorative faux flowers hung on our wall and a gold floral hoop covered in peonies.

Peony Wedding Ideas

The backdrop hoop was enhanced with a mirrored gold "love" calligraphy detail and added modern touch of gold to the backdrop.

To each side of our pink and gold dressed buffet sat two cake pedestals which housed additional Pink Peony Cocktails and some fresh florals.

In the center of the buffet sat a selfie sign complete with personalized hashtag.

The sign rested upon a wooden table-top easel. A soft pink peony bouquet was displayed beside it.

To each side of the sign sat several favor jars which we transformed into bud vases full of white florals. Each floral bud vase had a small wooden love detail added for an extra sweet detail.
