I love that something that was such a big part of my childhood (and let's be honest my mom and probably Grandma's childhood) is still as cute and fun and relevant today. The end of the school year is approaching and I always like to have a FREEDOM party for my kids. Usually we don't go all patriotic, but all of these Peanuts Patriotic Party Supplies were just so darn cute I couldn't resist! This would also make a great Memorial day BBQ party, or of course the cutest Fourth of July party in the neighborhood!
In my kids eyes, the party favors are the most important part of the party and I have to say, these were pretty much the best! I filled each little adorable Peanuts Patriotic Pail with things my kids and their friends absolutely LOVE! Those rubber bracelets and dog tags are all the rage at my kids school, so they were all excited to get some new ones. Bubbles, bouncy balls and beach balls are always a hit, and the littlest guests were super excited about those.
Another thing that the kids love are flags, my niece has been carrying hers around ever since we had the party a week ago. The last thing in the bucket are the cute Peanuts Patriotic pencil with the fireworks pencil topper that I created this fun DIY topper. The perfect little favor bucket, with enough to keep the kids entertained way beyond the party.
What's a party without cake? This layered red, white and blue Rice Krispie cake was a total hit! Yummy!
Also, you need beverages, and of course something cute to dispense them out of! This glass beverage dispenser is perfect for parties and is oh so cute!
My kids love punch...especially red punch. As you can see, I love white, so I had to protect the drink station area, and this cute Snoopy table cloth comes in a big roll, so I will be using it for all of our summer parties and craft adventures coming up! Of course the paper plates and napkins were adorable and matched everything so dang cute. Paper straws in red, white and blue and some clear plastic cups next to the beverage dispenser were all I really needed to keep the cute! I had some balloons on balloon sticks for the kids to all take as they went home...of course they turned into swords and we had fencing matches in the living room. Sigh. Living with three little boys is always an adventure.
It was a fun and simple party, with a big balloon backdrop/banner that turned out great!
The "cake" was delicious and simple...and cute.
The decorations were adorable and fun.
And the party favors had all the kids hugging me and telling me thank you! I would say that is a big success in my book! :)
