People usually tend to focus on the big holidays when it comes to decorating their homes, but I personally love decorating my home for the 4th of July. I think it's one of those holidays that we go big when it comes to backyard parties and celebrations, but why not go big and make your home feel festive too!
I always start by decorating the front porch first, after all, it is the first thing your guest will see as they enter your home. Now, that you have the outside all decked out in red, white and blue it's time to transform the inside with a few simple DIY 4th of July crafts, patriotic decor and you can download the Free 4th of July Printables Signs here.
I decided to create a Patriotic 4th of July Gallery Wall and display some of my favorite decorations all in one spot. A gallery wall is a great way to make a statement and with a cohesive color palette, it's easy to do. I started by choosing some of my favorite statement pieces, like this God Bless America sign and the Patriotic Pom-Pom Wreath.
When creating your own gallery wall it is important to remember to stagger your larger pieces and to layer to create visual interest. I layered the soft pom-pom wreath over the rustic unfinished wood frame with wire for texture and a bigger statement.
Since I incorporated the rustic unfinished frame I decided to add another unfinished element to balance things out, and used the DIY unfinished wood plank USA sign. I used my Cricut Maker and vinyl to create a festive USA sign to place on the wood cut out.
I created a few 4th of July printables to put in the painted DIY 5x7 frames. This is such an easy way to add a touch of personalization that can easily fill up space on your gallery wall. Be sure to download the Free 4th of July Printables Signs here!
When it comes to decorating my house for any holiday I love being able to craft or create something special. I decided to create my own version of the American flag with a DIY Painted Flag Letter Board craft. I love how this turned out and think it's fun to have a painted letter board that I can add different sayings to throughout the month.
Finally, I finished out the gallery wall space with a vintage chair, patriotic pillows, and a plant. I am excited about enjoying this patriotic display and celebrating the red, white and blue!
