Patriotic Confetti 4th of July Party

We love celebrating the holidays with our friends and family and summer is the perfect time to take the party outside! Our backyard deck was an ideal place to host a 4th of July party full of red, white and blue fun.

Star Spangled Party Decorations

Our party had stars, stripes and was fun all over thanks to the red, white and blue balloon garland we installed on our dessert stand. We added a few patriotic confetti filled balloons and cloth American flags to the garland for a bit of whimsy. A blue vase held white hydrangeas and another cloth American flag and sat at the base of our garland to keep it from blowing away.

Our table was laden with red, white and blue patriotic flair.

A navy blue and white striped table runner ran down the center of our table and acted as a base for our DIY Star Spangled Table Centerpiece.

DIY wood framed stars were painted and embellished to craft the perfect patriotic details.

A hexagon wall decor piece, which sat in the center of our table, was painted red, white and blue and served as a candy-filled charcuterie sweets board.

We piled it high with patriotic yogurt pretzels, star cookies, gummy bears, jelly beans, licorice, sour punch candy and various gummy candies.

Guests were smitten with our simple, yet pleasing patriotic details.

Patriotic Place Settings

We brought in a few vintage touches by serving lemonade in glass soda bottles, which were wrapped with a strip of navy bandana fabric that held red patriotic straws.

Simple red dessert plates sat atop patriotic confetti dinner plates and were topped with our DIY Stars and Stripes Party Favor Bags, which were created using white linen bags.

Blue forks and red knives were bundled together with a strip of blue bandana fabric and sat next to each place setting atop patriotic confetti lunch napkins. Each place setting was grounded thanks to DIY placemats, which were created by painting DIY slat signs red, then adding white painted wooden stars and small blue painted stars.

A Feast Fit for Our Founding Fathers

A make-shift adult beverage station was set up to the left of our dessert stand.

A DIY unfinished wood chevron tray was painted white and corralled a patriotic confetti carafe filled with adult Shirley Temples, patriotic confetti tumblers and a Mason jar filled with patriotic paper straws. We placed a clear vase from the colorful glass vase set filled with fresh flowers and a small cloth American flag behind the tray.

Store-bought vanilla cupcakes sat atop a white cake plate and were wrapped with strips cut from a blue bandana and topped with crushed rock candy and DIY Patriotic Cupcake Toppers. 

Delicious all-American mini cherry pies stood tall atop navy-painted chipwood baskets with red and white gingham trim.

Mason jars were filled with confetti, patriotic rock candy lollipops, red, white and blue jelly beans and patriotic ring lollipops for guests to add to their Stars and Stripes Party Favor Bags at the end of the party.

We created s'mores kits for each of our guests. Chipwood baskets were filled with a bandana, American flag, chocolate bars, pop rocks candy, a patriotic confetti beverage napkin and cellophane bags filled with graham crackers and marshmallows. Guests were welcomed to join us post-fireworks to roast marshmallows, or they could easily take their s'mores kits home if they chose.

Last, but not least, we filled patriotic treat bags with popcorn and served them on white platters.

Guests were invited to make themselves at home in our patriotic outdoor living area after dinner. Our sofa was extra cozy thanks to the patriotic pillow set. The red vase filled with flowers and an American flag made the space feel more homey. The American woven bunting finished the space perfectly.
