It's time to party like a panda and create some panda-monium! This panda party is full of cute ideas including modern mixed black & white patterns, bamboo decor, adorable sweet treats and a free panda party tableware template that will bring your panda party to life! You really can't go wrong when you add a cute little panda face on anything!
THE TABLE
For this panda party I decided to go with a classic color palette of black & white in mixed patterns. I loved incorporating chevron stripes and hearts as well as polka dots into this party scene. The stark color palette is contrasted with natural browns and greens for a clean, modern look that can be used for any gender.
Down the center of the table I added 3 DIY Watch It Grow Seed Pots potted with lucky bamboo stalks and bark chips.
I placed a sweet Stuffed Panda Bear next to each bamboo shoot; after all, it is their favorite food!
TABLE SETTINGS
This table setting just makes me smile! Start with a DIY Slat Sign and stain it to get a darker brown color. Be sure to add a section of Bamboo Garland for a pop of natural green.
Add a DIY Panda Party Tableware Set. How cute are the panda cups and plates we made?! This set is simple to make and has a big "awwwww" factor. Find out how to make the set HERE. Swap out the bow tie color to suit your guest of honor.
Give your birthday boy or girl a special panda plate complete with a party crown. Next to each plate add a Black Metallic Polka Dot Luncheon Napkins and green spoon.
The set also includes DIY cups and the cutest bamboo straws.
I placed the kid-friendly chopsticks on little playful panda chopstick holders, a set my daughter has loved for years.
Next to each setting I also placed a small sweet treat in a Black Polka Dot Hexagon Favor Box. I love how the spots look like panda bear markings! Wrap the box in ribbon that matches the bow tie and glue a large Panda Family Eraser on top.
THE BAMBOO FOREST
For the dessert table backdrop create the look of a bamboo forest with a section of bamboo reed fencing. This is super cost effective and available at your local hardware store. It's very light and can be hung easily using temporary hooks.
In the center of the backdrop use a Bamboo Party Yard Sign for the birthday message. Write a message for the birthday cub using a chalk pen or encourage the little ones to Party like a Panda! Optional: Remove (saw off) the stake attached to the sign.
In place of a traditional party banner, string DIY Unfinished Wood Round Beads together to create a natural garland and add a Bamboo Garland behind it.
SWEET TREATS
A themed panda party cake is the center of attention on this dessert table. Give your cake height by placing it on a brown stained DIY Unfinished Wood Cake Stand and DIY Unfinished Wood Crates with Lids. Add sprigs of bamboo garland and stalks of lucky bamboo for pops of color.
On one side of the cake add the adorable sweet panda treats. Get all the instructions and ingredients for these DIY Marshmallow Panda Pops HERE.
Add a super cute Precious Panda 31" Mylar Balloon to watch over the tasty treats.
TAKE HOME TREATS
On the other side of the table place these cute DIY Panda Party Favor pails on a smaller brown stained DIY Unfinished Wood Crate. These "pandtastic" favors are super easy to put together! Get the how-to HERE.
Set up a panda adoption center to encourage guests to take home a Stuffed Panda Bear. Mark the spot with a fun pun on a modern Black Letter Board Kit. Decorate the board with a string of Black and White Yarn Pom-Poms. Simply string these onto cotton thread with a needle.
Pile all the pandas into a brown stained DIY Unfinished Wood Crate with a little bamboo for sustenance. I added a Rattan Natural Lantern with Handle to give the space some texture and light.
Now it's time for the panda-modium to begin! Let's party like pandas!
