All the Juicy Decor Details
I don't know about you, but I think there's just something completely adorable about watermelons. The beautiful color of the melon itself makes it such a fun fruit to decorate with. From the moment guests walk into the room they will feel giddy with excitement thanks to the cheerful decor.
The whimsical deconstructed watermelon backdrop provides an inviting focal point and sets the tone for the whole party. A light pink, hot pink, white and green balloon garland reminds guests not to take themselves too seriously. You can learn how we created this Dip Dyed Watermelon Backdrop here.
Mini watermelons filled with chamomile flowers and watermelon wedges sat on white plastic trays and made the perfect centerpieces. Galvanized pots were also filled with chamomile flowers and proved that sometimes the most simplistic decor is the best approach.
The Tablescape
We lined the center of our table with a DIY dip dyed table runner to match our backdrop. Although ours was fabric, you could easily recreate the look by cutting a long piece from a fadeless paper roll and painting it pink and green.
I absolutely adore the way our place settings turned out! We spray painted silver chargers a Kelly green color, and then layered white scalloped dinner plates and candy pink plastic plates on top to mimic a slice of watermelon.
We printed place cards with each guest's name on them and then attached a watermelon cutout to each using a dab of hot glue. I think they could not have turned out any cuter!
White premium forks, spoons and knives were tied with black baker's twine and a watermelon slice cutout was attached as a charming detail.
Our napkins were actually tea towels that we cut down to size then dyed pink. We then hot glued white and green ric rac trim to each end and added seeds using black acrylic paint. Small clear favor boxes held pink and green macarons with a cute and punny tag that read "You're one in a melon".

You can't host a watermelon themed shower without serving guests delicious and refreshing watermelon mojitos. Our mojitos were served in silver rimmed tumblers and looked extra enticing thanks to the DIY Watermelon Drink Stirrers and Coasters, which served as delightful take home gifts for our guests.
Sweet and Savory Nibbles
We filled a beverage dispenser, which sat atop a white cake stand, with our Refreshing Watermelon Mojitos so guests could easily top off their glasses as they wished.
Extra silver rimmed tumblers were corralled on a galvanized tray that looked as chic as it was functional.
We wanted to serve a little mix of sweet and savory, so we found a few yummy watermelon appetizer recipes on the Internet and offered up a watermelon, cucumber and mint salad in mini pedestal cups.
Watermelon, basil and feta bites were skewered with mini appetizer forks and were served on a white plastic tray.
Our local bakery created the cutest watermelon inspired cake for us and was the perfect sweet ending after nibbling on the appetizers.
Thanks A Melon!
We couldn't resist sending our guests home with a final sweet treat. To tie in our theme further, we created an acrylic sign which said "You're One In A Melon" and placed it behind clear favor boxes that were filled with watermelon gummies. The boxes were wrapped with black and white striped ribbon and topped off with another punny tag that read "Thanks A Melon." You can find the cut file to create the sign project for your Cricut here.
