Hot Air Balloon Party Favors filled with candy make for great decorations as well as DIY party favors for guests to take home.
Celebrate the graduate with a graduation party inspired by the classic Dr. Seuss book, "Oh The Places You'll Go!" Our party is complete with a Graduation Candy Buffet, a giant photo of the graduate, and colorful hot air balloons!
Graduation Party Backdrop
A good party always begins with a great backdrop, and our Oh The Places You'll Go Backdrop did not disappoint!
The banner was really wide and tall and tied all of the party elements together perfectly with the colors and design.
I wanted to mimic clouds in the sky, so I hung white paper lanterns in the corners of the backdrop, then placed Oh The Places You'll Go hot air balloons underneath and around the "clouds."
Oh The Places You'll Go Candy Buffet
Party guests will love to "treat" themselves at a colorful candy buffet. Learn how to make your own Graduation Candy Buffet here with these step-by-step instructions!
The highlight of the table was the giant photo of the graduate! My daughter is graduating from 5th grade soon, so I had a three-foot tall custom photo stand-up made from her photo. She was so surprised to see it and it brought a huge smile to her face!
Our candy buffet featured gumballs, jelly beans, rock candy sticks, swirl lollipops, and salt water taffy in pretty glass apothecary jars.
A pink and yellow cake stand held pastel frosted cookies and cupcakes with sprinkles and Oh the Places You'll Go picks placed in the middle. Mint and white suitcases as well as a mini lunch box added height and interest to the table.
Oh The Places You'll Go Folders made the perfect garland for the table and were hung using foam tape.
On the left side of the candy buffet was a marble and gold table with Hot Air Balloon Party Favors for the party guests. Gold Risers added height and made the hot air balloons stand at different levels.
Near the candy buffet was a DIY Graduation Card Box I made for my daughter. I created free printable cards for party guests to write on and place inside the box for my daughter to read.
Oh The Places You'll Go Dining Table
A darling Oh The Places You'll Go Centerpiece sat in the middle of our party table.
Adorable matching dinner plates, larger napkins, smaller napkins, and paper cups made up each place setting.
I hope you enjoyed our Oh the Places You'll Go Graduation Party as much as we did!
