New Year's Classroom Party

New Year's Classroom Party

Let the New Year be a RAINBOW of possibilities for your students! What better time than the New Year to bring out all the bright and colorful decorations and fun activities?! Get your students excited about this special time by helping them set resolutions and BIG dreams for themselves! A New Year's themed party is also a great time to review telling time as students countdown and celebrate with each other! Keep reading to get in on all the festivities!

Set New Year Resolutions

Setting goals is a must in any classroom! Students love seeing where they're going and the steps they need to take to get them there! Make this activity fun and have your students put on some new 'lenses' for the year with these fun Iridescent New Year's Eve Paper Glasses as they write their New Years resolutions on these New Year Resolutions Cards! With 48 paper glasses in a set, these paper glasses are a perfect 'fit' for multiple classes to celebrate together! These resolution cards are also a great guide to help stduents reflect on their personal strengths and share something they'd like to start doing, stop doing, learn, and try in the new year. These cards come in a set of 12 and are a great way to start your New Year's celebration!

Dream BIG Dreams

In addition to setting goals, the new year is a great time for students to dream BIG dreams for themselves! Encourage them to write down their hopes, dreams, and aspirations with Watercolor Print Classroom Pencils in these colorful Watercolor Notepads! The 24-piece pencil set pairs perfectly with the notepads which come with the words: Dream, Inspire, Be Bold, and Create! Once students are done writing and sharing their dreams, have them keep their notepads safely in these matching Watercolor Pencil Cases so they can reflect and add to them throughout the year!

Countdown and Make a Clock

Use this opportunity to practice counting backwards and telling time! These math connections can easily be planned into your day of celebration and will be a great time for students to be hands-on! First, start with the Melissa & Doug Shape Sorting Clock. Students can match the shapes as they count down from 12! Next, go over how to tell time by reading the hour and minute hands! Once students can quickly tell time to the hour, half-hour, or minute, they can make paper clocks with the Learning Time Clock Kits to show their learning!

New Year Clock Activities

Celebrate and Make Memories

Once the goals are set, the dreams are recorded, and the countdown is on, bring out these New Year's Eve Push-Up Pom-Pom Poppers for the grand finale! Yes, you read it right! They are pom-pom poppers! Once students pop them, the pom-poms can be quickly picked up and reused for next year! These poppers are also silent so students who are sensitive to loud sounds can also enjoy this exciting activity! Next, have your students put back on their Iridescent New Year's Eve Paper Glasses, grab a prop from the Confetti Party Photo Stick Props, put on a Bright Happy New Year Tiara and snap a picture in front of this Rainbow Party Fringe Table Skirt that also works perfectly as a colorful background!

Classroom New Year Decoration

Add to the fun by gifting each child with a Plush Rainbow to remind him/her that the New Year is truly a RAINBOW of possibilities and to continue to set goals and dream BIG dreams throughout the year!
