This holiday season I dared to be different with a unique color combination of navy and gold for my holiday tablescape. I couldn't be happier with the result! I love how elegant the gold looks against the navy blue. The navy also pairs well with traditional elements like seasonal greenery, which gives the entire space a timeless look. Why not dare to be different too? This setting would be perfect for hosting a get-together with your friends or family alike.
Be sure to check out the tutorial for a DIY Nutcracker Wreath Ornament to complete the look and to send guests home with a fun party favor at the end of the evening!

I started to set the tone of the table with a Navy Rectangle Polyester Tablecloth. I then added a touch of greenery to the table using a Silver Dollar Eucalyptus Garland down the center of the table.

I painted the largest house in the DIY House Assortment navy blue and gold then placed it in the center of the table to serve as an elegant centerpiece. I then used a small piece of Boxwood Leaf Ribbon Roll to create a holiday wreath for the house and added a Medium Green Frosted Sisal Tree for a seasonal touch.

Next, I added a selection of Bulk Shatterproof Metallic Ball Ornaments to the greenery at each side of the house. I sprayed some of these navy blue to further emphasize the dramatic contrast of blue and gold in this tablescape. A mix of small & large jingle bells gave my table just the shine it needed.

The final touch to the table centerpiece were two DIY 3D Unfinished Wood Nutcracker Christmas Ornaments painted navy blue and gold. I sat these nutcrackers on each side of the house centerpiece.

I always love to have candles on the table; the ambient light they create as the sun sets is gorgeous. At each end of this table I placed tealights into Gold Wire Geometric Tea Light Candle Holders. I then nestled these into Small Silver Dollar Eucalyptus Wreaths. to bring in more natural greenery to the tablescape.

I'm a true believer in the magic of the holiday season, so I couldn't resist adding a Navy Fan to each place setting with the message "Believe". I sprayed the handles gold and then cut the message out in gold vinyl using my cutting machine. Use these fans to simply send a message to your guests, as menus or place cards.

I always like layering place settings to allow for multiple courses and for also just for the aesthetic. For this place setting, I started with a Metallic Gold Paper Dinner Plate, followed by a Navy Petal Edge Paper Luncheon Plate and Navy Petal Edge Paper Dessert Plate. I slipped a Navy Embossed Dinner Napkin between the layers and used Premium Ornate Gold Cutlery at each setting.

Next, I added a Clear Premium Plastic Wine Glass and a navy blue & gold cup for water.

This year I wanted to send my guests home with a thoughtful, homemade keepsake that they could enjoy this year and for years to come. This DIY Nutcracker Wreath Ornament was the perfect gift and looked beautiful on the table. Find out how to make your own Nutcracker Wreath Ornaments HERE.

A bar cart is the perfect accessory to modern dining. I like to wheel mine in close to the table for easy top offs and to create a beautiful backdrop to the dining table.

Above my bar cart I used two sets of My Mind's Eye Metallic Gold Hanging Fans to create a dramatic design that complimented the table and drew guests' eyes to the cart. In front of the fans I hung a small branch from the ceiling using fishing wire and removable command hooks.
I sprayed the branch blue and then hung 3 DIY Paper Mache Diamond Ornaments from it. These were also sprayed blue to create a bold contrast to the gold fans in the background.

I bought the blue onto the bar cart using a length of Navy Blue Voile Sheer Fabric, letting it flow over the top of the cart and down the sides. I then layered a Gold Leaf Garland over the fabric.

On the top level I added a large gold star and a Navy Mercury Glass Votive Holder for more ambient lighting. On the other side another DIY House was painted to match the centerpiece on a small cake stand to give it some height.

Scattered across the bar cart to tie in with the table decor were Bulk Shatterproof Metallic Ball Ornaments and a mix of small & large jingle bells.

On the lower level Premium Plastic Champagne Flutes sat ready to toast to the festive season! I finished off this level with a candle in a Navy Ombre Hurricane Vase nestled in a Small Black Spruce Wreath. Time to raise a glass with holiday cheer!
