This Last Sail Before the Veil Bridal Shower is a darling nautical theme bridal shower in shades of pink, mint green and navy blue. Fun touches like starfish, a “Get Nauti” DIY Wedding Sign, a dressed up DIY anchor decoration, and a charming, bright blue Drunken Sailor Cocktail make this a coastal celebration that will have the whole crew cheering. Shot on location at Harborside Pavilion in Newport Beach, California.
Come Sail Away
A nautical theme is a fun and popular choice for a unique wedding shower that will wow guests. Whether your event takes place by land or by sea, your ocean loving brides will adore this fun and unique nautical bridal shower idea.
Place Settings Bubbling with Excitement
Place settings come alive with color, by pairing Chic Navy Dot plates with mint green and gold foil dot dessert plates. Each is topped with a stunning, real capiz shell, painted in a pretty script with each guest's name. A navy blue tube of bubbles is proof that married life is "dee bubbles" under the sea! Custom napkins are decorated with whimsical pink poms, and gathered with a silver napkin ring that's been embellished with natural cord and a gleaming goldtone anchor charm.
Catch a Wave With These Fun Additions
A signature drink is a trendy way to control costs and add a lively splash of color to the table. The Drunken Sailor Cocktail is delicious served chilled in a stemless wavy wineglass as shown, or over ice. Add a fun navy striped paper straw, (we embellished ours with a sand dollar), and a cutely crafted table favor, made from a clear bottle favor, filled with navy blue sand and another darling sand dollar, then wrapped with natural cord and embellished with a gold anchor charm.
A Seaworthy Tablescape
The table is first laid with a white round linen, then layered with a navy and white striped table runner. Next, sections of real driftwood were placed at either end, and draped with realistic looking silver dollar eucalyptus garland. Strands of shimmering pearls, as well as an assortment of sea shells and white starfish are added next. The overall look is elegant and robust without being overdone.
Let's Get Nauti
Darling beverage napkins printed with your personalized message are a fun way to add a little pizzazz to your party table. These navy blue anchor napkins have been customized with the phrase, "Let's Get Nauti", as a pun on the nautical theme. You can create yours with any phrase you like, or the date of your event, if you choose.
Anchors Away
To welcome guests to this nautical themed bridal shower, a unique DIY anchor decoration piece was created using a cardboard anchor standee and piles of tissue tassels in pink, mint green and blue. Natural cord accents the piece, and a welcome aboard sign tops it off perfectly.
Somewhere Beyond the Sea
A dazzling centerpiece was created for this nautical themed look, and is comprised of three quart ball mason jars painted in soft oceanic shades of chalk paint, then embellished with natural cord, pink pom-poms and white star fish. All that's left to do is add blooms of your choosing. We selected roses in hot pink and peach, and wound more pearls and seashells around the base of the collection. These make lovely take-home gifts when the shower is finished and the jars can be re-used for many household purposes.
Dessert Table Nauti-Ness They'll Love
Friends may be tempted to skip dessert, so let them know it's okay to "Get Nauti" with this adorable “Get Nauti” DIY Wedding Sign. Place it on display next to a decadent stack of vanilla cupcakes. Mint green foil dot dessert plates are at the ready, along with an assortment of napkins in shades of pink, mint green stripe, and navy blue.
Saltwater taffy in pink and green are a perfect boardwalk inspired treat, and are easy to pack up and take home for a sweet treat later.
