We recently attended a wedding in Cape Cod and were absolutely inspired by all of the coastal New England details! From the hints of nautical decor, the natural, coastal elements plus some fresh romantic florals, this wedding had us swooning. We knew right then and there we wanted to re-create our own Nantucket inspired wedding! We added hints of both rustic and chic coastal elements along with a modern pattern and color palette and were truly thrilled with how it turned out!
The Table:
We typically like to style our tables with varying linens and runners to add both color and texture eye candy, but for this particular wedding, we wanted to keep a clean and crisp nautical look. To achieve this look, we layered three Navy Striped Table Runners across the length of our table. This really allowed the place settings and coastal decor to shine! To achieve our chic, coastal look, we layered our place setting starting with a Wood Pattern Wedding Charger a White Elegance Dinner Plate and a White Dessert Plate with a Rose Gold Edge
We added a Blue Rally Bandanna for a pop of blue along with our DIY Watercolor Napkins that were painted a soft pink hue. We topped it all off with a White Starfish with hints of Gold Foil detailing. We fell in love with these White Personalized Sailboat Napkins and loved that we could detail them with gold writing!
Our yummy, homemade Salt Water Taffy was held in our DIY Salt Water Taffy Favor Bags!
This was such a cute and simple way to house our delicious candy favor and we just adore the way those Goldtone Nautical Charms pop against the Nautical Drawstring Bags!
Sea Shell Place Card Holders were painted white and accentuated with Gold Foil and Metallic Gold Cutlery added a luxe look for less.
Fabulous, Personalized Nautical Champagne Flutes filled with champagne completed the stylish setting!
The Decor
Our centerpiece was a DIY Flower Box Centerpiece that we turned upside down and painted in a classic driftwood color. It showcased a Large Galvanized Bucket accentuated with some Natural Cording , fresh, pink hydrangea and a navy blue Anchor Stir Stick. We added some white and gold shell and star fish decor along with a variety of Natural Starfish and Pearl Beads for an extra beachy touch.
A mix of Sea Shells were placed in front of the centerpiece along with two White Metal Mini Lanterns (do not use open flame candles with this product). It really gave us that New England clam bake feel while still exuding the ambiance of an elegant wedding!
A modern white and gold bar cart stood in front of these oh-so-fabulous Oar Cutouts and was home to a simple yet chic white wedding cake decorated with Blue & White Striped Ribbon and topped with a DIY Wood Sailboat.
It also showcased our DIY Gold Foil Oyster Place Cards!
This project was seriously so fun and easy to create and added the perfect amount of coastal chic to our Nantucket inspired wedding!
