It's a little boho, a little mystical, and a whole lot of Halloween magic! You can create a mystical boho vibe in your own home with some easy décor tips and simple DIY elements that work together to create a Halloween look that's anything but ordinary.
Set the scene by draping a piece of Creepy Cloth over your table and then propping up a DIY Mystical Boho Palm Reader Sign. You'll find the instructions with step-by-step photos to make your own DIY Mystical Boho Palm Reader Sign here.
Next, add a mystical box to the scene. To quickly make your own box, paint a DIY Unfinished Wood Hinged Box with acrylic paint. Once it's dry, fill it with a collection of rocks and crystals. To make your own mystical rocks, use a Fine Point Gold Sharpie® to add some fun doodles and drawings to Polished River Rocks.
Of course, you'll need a tray to hold various potions and notions, so simply paint a DIY Wood Tray in the colors of your choice. To make your own potion bottles, squirt some acrylic paint into Mini Cork Glass Milk Bottle Favor Containers and shake them up a bit to allow the paint to go up the sides of the bottle. You can use a Fine Point Gold Sharpie® to add doodles of florals and mystical symbols on the outside of the bottles. Make some shorter potion bottles by using Corked Favor Bottles. Squirt acrylic paint into the favor bottles and shake them to fully paint the insides of the jar. Apply a length of washi tape around the middle of the jar to mask off the top of the jar. Use a Gold Sharpie® to apply color to the bottom half of the jar.
Every Halloween looks needs some pumpkins! Paint White and Teal Craft Pumpkins in colors that coordinate with the Mystical Boho Theme. We used gold, mauve, teal and navy to create our Mystical Boho color scheme.
To make the moth-covered pumpkin, apply a small amount of Mod Podge® to the top of the pumpkin and feather it down the sides. While the Mod Podge is still wet, sprinkle on some Fine Grain Gold Glitter. Download, print and cut out the Mystical Boho Icons Template. Cut out the moths and fold them in half. Adhere the fold to the painted pumpkin. Don't forget to download the Mystical Boho Icons Template here.
To create the crowned pumpkin, apply a small amount of Mod Podge® to the top and sides of the pumpkin. While the Mod Podge is still wet, sprinkle on some Fine Grain Gold Glitter. Paint bamboo skewers and carefully poke them into the pumpkin. Cut the skewers down smaller and smaller as you go down the sides of the pumpkin. Glue gold painted wood stars and gold glittered stars to the skewers.
Use gold paint to spray paint a DIY Ceramic Skull. Add in a couple of Gold Mercury Glass Candle Holders to use as pedestals for a couple of pumpkins.
Add some drippy candles into the scene - they're perfect for some mystical ambiance.
Now let's add some lighting. Hang a string of Clear White Wire String Lights along with a Gold Glitter Star Garland to loosely frame the area above the table.
Next, hang a DIY Double Hoop Macrame Wall Hanging and a Fortune Teller Eye Sign Halloween Decoration onto the wall below the lights and garland. You can find the instructions including step-by-step photos to make your own DIY Double Hoop Macrame Wall Hanging here.
Finally, add some natural elements such as a Faux (or real) Fiddle Leaf Tree in a bamboo basket and a rattan peacock chair. Well done! Now you're ready to bewitch and captivate with your Mystical Boho Halloween look.
