The holidays are such a wonderful time to get married. There's just something about cooler weather that makes everything more cozy and romantic. If you're planning a holiday wedding then this modern tablescape is the inspiration you've been looking for! Using shades of pink, green, and gold I've created a modern holiday tablescape perfect for winter weddings.
To create this modern holiday wedding I began with a centerpiece made of bright ornaments. With a little bit of spray paint, clear ornaments were transformed into a more modern design. The bright shades of this centerpiece set the tone for the rest of the wedding decor. I placed this DIY ornament centerpiece on top of a gold sequin runner which adds a bit of holiday sparkle. Each place setting was set with a gold metallic string place mat, white ribbed plate, and a light pink dinner plate. Pistachio green napkins were tied with pink ribbon and a jingle bell.
Peppermint hanging fans added a fun pop behind the table while a Christmas tree gave the space a festive feel. Candlelight is a must for winter weddings and gold-flecked mercury votives gave the table the perfect warm glow.
To keep with the holiday theme I created snow globe place cards for each guest. The place cards feature a holiday scene and name tags made with a free printable. I chose to use light pink and green trees to match the centerpiece but you could easily customize these place cards to match your wedding colors. These place cards are a fun surprise at each place setting and make a great custom wedding favor for guests. Click here to get the steps to these DIY snow globe place cards!
No party is complete without dessert so I whipped up a recipe for peppermint chocolate mousse to accompany this modern holiday party. Served in tiny pedestal cups these desserts are the perfect treat size.
