Modern Farmhouse Easter Mantel

Modern Farmhouse Easter Mantel

Bring the beauty of spring into your home this Easter with a mix of distressed wood, galvanized metal, vintage and new to create a unique and modern farmhouse Easter mantel that will brighten up your home decor.

Modern Farmhouse Easter Mantel

I love changing up my mantel decor for each holiday and this Easter I want to incorporate my new modern farmhouse style. My husband and I recently added a shiplap wall above our fireplace, and it's quickly become one of my favorite spots in the house...especially to decorate! This Easter I'm moving away from the typical pastel colors and creating beautiful decor for my fireplace mantel with a neutral, modern farmhouse style.

While I frequently change out my mantel decor, one thing that typically always stays is an old vintage window that we salvaged from my husbands grandparent's farm. I wanted to brighten it up and give it the touch and feel of spring so I started by making a DIY boxwood wreath with this boxwood garland. I wrapped it around and used floral wire to hold its shape, then I added a large piece of burlap ribbon to hang it from the vintage window.

I added in more pops of spring with the small boxwood decor ball placed on the mantel. These would also look great placed on top of candle sticks if you wanted to mix things up. You can't think of spring without thinking of flowers, so added beautiful silk flowers to a metal farm bucket. One of the things I love about this farmhouse decor trend is being able to mix distressed wood, galvanized metal, vintage and new to create a unique and modern take on home decor. I'm also a sucker for nostalgia and the farmhouse trend reminds me of summer visits to my grandparents farm and their farmhouse full of treasures and charm around every corner.

If you are like me and change out your decor for each holiday you probably want to add simple seasonal decor that doesn't break the bank. I have found so many fun home decor items on Oriental Trading lately, including this adorable decorative bunny accent Lilly Long Ears. This festive rabbit with her pretty bow is the perfect piece for spring decorating.

I added a pop of bold color with my DIY Farmhouse Speckled Easter Egg Garland. You probably have tons of plastic Easter eggs lying around, put them to use and create this pretty garland to brighten up your decor. I also scattered a few of the speckled eggs on the mantel and even added some to a bird nest perched on top of a vintage scale.

I also used the Gold Trim Open Top Terrarium (do not use open flame candles with this product) to add a hint of gold.

I made a quick and easy DIY Happy Easter From the Farm sign with paint, vinyl and a DIY slat wood sign. It's the perfect addition to my simple, modern farmhouse spring mantel.

Not only is this pretty little display perfect for Easter, it's simple enough you could even leave it up throughout the spring season. This modern farmhouse mantel has the perfect pop of color with a nod to all things spring, it is sure to brighten your home.
