The modern farmhouse trend is something we've subscribed to in our own homes, so when we started planning this year's Easter Brunch, we knew a table with a farmhouse flare would be the perfect style! We couldn't wait to incorporate our rustic wood farmhouse table, mercury glass details, galvanized metal touches, jute rope elements and pops of classically vintage inspired Easter tableware and decor to our brunch. You can create this popular look for less with our DIY tips, easy styling ideas and a delicious recipe too!
The Table:
If you are like us, you might have some modern farmhouse elements in your own home. This made it a breeze for us to style up this brunch! We love that we can repurpose our decor pieces throughout the home after the holiday!
We started by layering our farmhouse table with a vintage easter fabric table runner. The sweet and classic imagery on this runner and the tassel adds a little something on each end of the tablescape.
If you don't have a farmhouse table at home, you can easily get this look at home by lining your table with a Fadeless® Weathered Wood Paper Roll under the table runner. The Place Settings:
Each place setting popped on a White Scalloped Charger plate against the wood table. Resting upon each charger plate was Burlap Ribbon with Vintage Lace topped with a Vintage Easter Dinner Paper Plate.
We loved the color palette of this adorable bunny plate so much so that it inspired the color details throughout our decor pieces.
Resting alongside the place setting was a coordinating Vintage Easter Dinner Napkin topped with a Vintage Easter Drawstring Favor Bag. Each guest also had their own DIY Mason Jar Cup Place Card Holder at their seat.
These adorable mason jar cups were assembled using Jute Cording, Mini Branch Wreaths, hand cut bunny tags and a bit of White Acrylic Paint. You can get the full tutorial to create this farmhouse DIY yourself at home here!
Each setting had a darling DIY Ceramic Bunny which we spray painted white.
Each DIY Wood Egg was spray painted blue and decorated with Watercolor speckle details for an authentic look.
The Centerpiece:
We really wanted our centerpiece to have a classic Easter vibe with some farmhouse details. We stuck with a simple palette of blue, green and yellow, all of which were colors pulled from the dinner plates. A Moss Table Runner topped the burlap vintage easter table runner to add a bright and springy touch.
DIY Ceramic Easter Bunnies were painted blue and speckled. We also added some Green Ribbon to make a bow detail.
The bunnies looked darling nestled into a bed of faux Greenery.
A variety of faux Greenery was mixed with fresh tulips and hydrangeas to create a lush and outdoorsy feel. DIY Ceramic Eggs were painted robin blue and were hand speckled. They stood out from the greenery and really complimented the large ceramic bunnies as well.
Patterned Round Silver Textured Candle Holders were interspersed throughout the centerpiece for a chic and elegant look.
This chic Vintage Easter Bunny Tiered Tray looked perfect as the main focal point on our table. We love how versatile he is!
The Vintage Easter Bunny Tiered Tray displayed pistachio macarons in the center of the table.
We created custom topiaries to coordinate with the centerpiece and to tie in to our overall color palette.
Greenery Boxwood balls were clad with custom painted DIY Wood Eggs and Faux Wisteria details for a distinctly spring look.
We loved the Galvanized Square Bucket base and the beautiful Vintage Easter Nest detailing. You can create our DIY Farmhouse Centerpiece Ideas at home for your Easter centerpiece or recreate it for a buffet table or front entry way as part of your home decor!
Additional Decor and Backdrop Ideas:
For our backdrop, we wanted to add in even more greenery, eggs, glassware and farmhouse details. An over-sized frame was painted with mixed metal and White Acrylic Paint for a vintage touch with a modern and on-trend color palette.
A wreath was suspended from the frame with Burlap Ribbon with Vintage Lace. A detail from the Vintage Easter Dinner Paper Plates was framed out inside the wreath for extra Easter detailing.
We displayed four Vintage Easter Dinner Paper Plates alongside the frame to bring in even more color.
The table was lined in a Moss Table Runner and displayed Round Silver Textured Candle Holders in Galvanized Metal Trays with Handles.
Faux Succulent Picks were spilling out of Silver Mercury Hanging Candle Holders and were displayed on Vintage Easter Stacking Boxes.
In the center of the table a Vintage Whitewash Wheelbarrow was displayed and filled with Frosted Greenery Stems, yellow tulips and blue speckled DIY Ceramic Eggs.
The speckled Ceramic Eggs and greenery really popped against the rustic wood of the wheelbarrow.
We loved these speckled Easter Candy Dishes and thought they looked perfect filled with miniature Rabbit Chocolate Candy!
One of our very favorite details of the brunch were these gorgeous Vintage Easter Pillows. We love the high end look and how they perfectly coordinated with the Vintage Easter Table Runner. The pastel colors really popped with our table.
The Food:
We created a buttery and decadent pound cake topped with fresh almond flavored whipped cream for dessert and our guests raved!
This pound cake is a favorite in our house that we have enjoyed since childhood. You can get the full tutorial for this delicious Almond Pound Cake and Fresh Whipped Cream Recipe here.
