My favorite thing about choosing a black-and-white color palette is that it lets all the details shine. You can take a classic black-and-white color palette to the next level by adding lots of natural greenery. To create an incredibly modern look use a base of black with white as an accent. For stand-out pieces like centerpieces and table runners use bold and full natural greenery.
I started with a glamorous Black Rectangle Polyester Tablecloth and added a layer of full floral garlands. I combined a Faux Dogwood Garland with a White Rose Faux Floral Garland to give a full lush look.
Then I added Silver Candle Holders with black taper candles. I love silver combined with the black, white and green for a chic elegant look.
CHIC TABLE SETTING
Continue the metallic silver into the table setting by using hammered silver cutlery. I paired these with Clear Plastic Premium Wine Glasses. They are similar to the ones I had at my own wedding, the clean lines are so modern.
Then layer the place setting starting with Octagon Black Plastic Dinner Plates followed by Black Velvet Paper Dinner Plates and a black napkin tied in a knot.

WINTER GREENS
Bring beautiful winter greenery into your reception with natural green wreaths. They make a fabulous back drop to the wedding cake and tie in beautifully with the wreath place cards on the table.
I used a larger pine wreath I had at home in the center and flanked this with smaller wreaths, a Small Black Spruce Wreath and a Small Boxwood Wreath. This created a stunning wall of wreaths.
Tie a bow of Black & White Striped Satin Ribbon at the top of each wreath.
Then as a unique accent, paint wood circles black and use a chalk pen to write words that reflect your love for each other and your relationship. This doubles as a fun way of encouraging the guests to celebrate with you.
A quick snip through a Faux Eucalyptus Greenery Garland will allow you to use it around the bottom of the cake to bring the statement wall look & feel down to the table and creating a stunning focal point.
As a cake topper paint a DIY Unfinished Wood Circle Stand-Up black and trim it with Boxwood Leaf Ribbon Roll. Then use a chalk pen to write the date and your initials. The amatic style font and use of symbols keeps the toppers fresh and modern while retaining a classic charm. I then used the same Black & White Striped Satin Ribbon around the bottom of the cakes top tier.
Dress the table in a similar style to the reception tables. I used Black Draping Fabric Roll and a Faux Eucalyptus Greenery Garland. Then I added Stemmed Votive Candle Holders throughout the garland to light up the table. Again use Black Battery-Operated Votive Candles for a super modern look.
For smaller dessert treats use Mini Black Favor Boxes to hold bite sized morsels. I wrapped them with a strip of black & white ribbon and added another black painted disc with a simple "Yum". Cute, stylish and easy to take home.
