To make these tissue paper ornaments, you need plain white ceramic glazed ornaments, tissue paper and Mod Podge, and a paintbrush, that's it! First choose your colors of tissue paper and tear into 1-2 inch strips. Start applying Mod Podge with a brush to your ornament and smooth on tissue paper strips. Once adhered, cover strips with a thin layer of Mod Podge. Let dry and it's ready!
The little gold stars really shine on this ornament! We love how the bright gold star confetti pops against the white ceramic ornament. To make, simple add a dot of glue to the ornament where you want to adhere the stars. Place star on top of each glue "dot" and press gently. Let dry. Add pretty ribbon to hang ornament.
You can always find adorable patterns on holiday napkins, so why not use them to craft with? We love the Christmas Crew luncheon napkins and beverage napkin design. To make these ornaments, we used the unfinished wood ornaments, napkins, scissors and Mod Podge. Cut out your favorite little icons from the napkin. We remove the thin second layer of the napkins before adhering. Brush a thin coat of Mod Podge on the ornament and gently place the cut icon on the ornament. We brush another thin layer of adhesive and let dry.
Our girls love making these ornaments. Any excuse to use glitter, right? Use clear glass ornaments, your favorite colors of glitter and some Mod Podge and you can create the most beautiful ornaments! First remove the silver tops from the ornament and then pour in Mod Podge. Swirl the adhesive around until the entire interior of the ornament is covered with glue. Pour out excess and then using a small funnel, pour glitter into the bulb. Cover opening with a finger and then start to shake until all the glue is covered with glitter. We like to let the ornament sit on a tray and start to dry, then transfer to a disposable cup and dry the ornament upside down over night. Put silver top back on and your ornament is ready to hang!
We saved our Christmas cards from last year and created photo ornaments for a little family Christmas tree! Simply cut out your favorite photos from holiday cards and Mod Podge them onto wood ornaments. We love painting the background of the ornaments with acrylic craft paint, letting that dry, then applying a layer of Mod Podge and adhering photos to the ornaments. This would make such a great holiday gift for grandparents!
