Your guests will love this mixed pastel bridal shower complete with a delicious bagel bar.
Pastels blend together to create a delicate and cohesive color scheme that is both romantic and light as air. Perfect for a brunch setting. For major impact, I used all the pastel shades together to create a look and feel that is versatile and easily adaptable for any venue or style. By adding delicate feathers to an already whimsical palette; the effect is both a modern and sophisticated bridal shower.
The Table
I took a minimal approach to the table decor to emphasize the beauty of the mixed palette settings.
I used a DIY Unfinished Wood Circle Stand-Up as a table centerpiece welcoming the guests. Paint the stand-up pink and download the free welcome lettering printable here. To be cohesive with the overall shower decor, add pastel paint dipped feathers and some hydrangea petals.
At each end of the table I added White Hobnail Votive Holders that I painted in various pastel shades.
Games are a super popular activity for bridal showers. Both Marvy® Pastel Color Brush Point Markers and Personalized Pastel Pencils are perfect for answering all those crazy questions and quizzes. Place these on the table for guests to grab when needed. The pencils also double as a fun take home favor.
Table Settings
Each setting is layered, a White Premium Square Plastic Dinner Plate rests under a Pastel Color Dinner Paper Plate.
With one setting of each color available in the plate pack. Under the plate at the top left corner I placed a Pastel Color Luncheon Napkins, folded and angled to create a modern geometric juxtaposition to the circular plate.
On top of the plate a DIY Unfinished Wood Circle place card and a pastel dipped feather accent to match the table backdrop. Each is painted a soft pastel that matches the color of that setting.
Lastly, a simple and elegant Clear Stemless Plastic Wine Glass and a set of Premium Metallic Silver Cutlery.
The Backdrop
A DIY Pastel Dipped Feather Backdrop is a stunning backdrop to the shower celebrations and cake. Find out how to make this DIY feathered backdrop here!
Each layer is dipped in a color that matches a setting on the table, a cohesive and contemporary backdrop that will wow your guests.
In front of the backdrop a simple pastel blue cake is accented to match the welcome sign on the table with feathers and a hydrangea petal.
The Bagel Bar
Serve up the ultimate brunch for a couples shower. Simple to put together, zero cooking time and best of all who doesn't love bagels. There are even lots of gluten-free and vegan bagels available now to cater for every guest.
This is a party menu that requires zero kitchen skills, just lots of fresh ingredients and a pretty styled buffet bar to allow guests to build their own bagel.
Start by directing your guests to the bar with a pretty DIY Bagel Bar Signage, get all the steps for making a bagel bar sign and bagel labels here.
Get double duty out of the Clear Donut Serving Stands and use them to stack delicious bagel flavors and options.
Help your guests make their selection by creating a menu of available bagels and toppings. I used a American Crafts Permanent Chalk Marker to write on a Clear Acrylic Sign. Download the free signage here.
I painted the back of this a pastel blue to make the menu pop and added pastel dipped feathers and hydrangea petals. The sign comes with a fabulous acrylic stand, or paint a Tabletop Easel as I did.
Pastel Color Hexagonal Paper Dessert Plates and Pastel Color Luncheon Napkins are perfect for picking up all your favorite toppings from the bar.
Plate a delicious selection of toppings on a Small Serving Platter and Long White Platters.
For a fun pop of color on the white platters add Mint Green Craft Sand. Then place some of the accompaniments into Mini Square Appetizer Bowls and place on the sand.
I provided capers, hummus, tomato & basil spread, deli meats, cheeses (including ricotta & slices) and fresh herbs, like dill, chives, and fresh spring onions.
Other options include thinly sliced cucumbers, radishes, red onion, avocado, fish, eggs and rock salts. For guests with a sweet tooth you could also consider fruit spreads, fresh fruits, Nutella, peanut butter and greek yoghurts.
The most important topping to include...? A range of a variety of cream cheese schmears, plain, herbed and strawberry are popular but my favorite is an Easy Salmon Schmear. Find out how to make this simple spread here.
A fun addition for a couples shower, a sprinkle of love! Paint Love Cupcake Picks pastel and place these in bagels instead of traditional cupcakes.
It wouldn't be brunch or a bagel bar without coffee. Seriously it's a "But First Coffee" situation! Download and print the fun labels saying just that and apply onto Frosty White Paper Coffee Cups .

Finally, add some pretty pastel florals to the bagel bar and add a selection of pastel dipped feathers to tie into the overall decor of this couples shower.
